Similar thing happened to me on the wife's computer. No android device listed for some reason. Set it up on my work laptop and it worked fine.

    Ah great, thanks very much.

I'm at the stage where I feel I need to do a factory reset on the phone, but I might just wait for a 6.0 build and do a clean install :)

I'm the same. Holding off for 6.0 to do a full wipe! Sooner rather than later hopefully.

Can anyone estimate roughly how long before decent 6.0 roms are going to be available?

Are one plus still officially supporting this phone or what? I read on the forums they aren't and then I read elsewhere they were. Is it up to the community now to keep it ticking over?

Marques Brownlee is the go to guy for me on any tech to be honest. Not the fastest at getting reviews and videos out but he gives things a genuine chance before he gives an opinion. His videos are brilliant as well. Hard to believe it's just him making them. Has plenty of videos on the OnePlus One anyway

It seems to me that One Plus have basically forgot about this phone. I'd imagine their whole team are all working on this new mini phone that they are looking to release. No updates in a very, very long time as to when or if any updates for Oxygen for the One are coming.

I'm hoping a really good user made ROM that is stock gets released.

Don't think I'd buy a phone from them again because while the hardware was a bargain, I like to keep up to date and I may go Nexus from now on.

Keep an eye on the XDA as work has begun on Cyanogenmod 13 (Marshmallow) for OPO.
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general

I had planned on upgrading my phone recently but I only see small improvements with the new set of flagships. Will try and eke another 12 months out of my OPO and then jump ship.

My battery is gone to sh1t, charged 100% this morning and already down to 70 - left one voicemail, had maybe a 10 min whatsapp conversation, and checked a couple of websites (under 1 hr screen on time) - I'm still on the stock Cyanogen 12.1

When you updated to Cyanogen 12.1 did you try update after updating? They released a second update to fix issues with the first.

I can no longer hear audio on voice calls.

I rang the OnePlus One support team, via a different phone, they answered 45 minutes later. They basically told me to download 7 different files and to organise a call with a different team.

I organised the call with a different team. I then went to download the 7 files and 3 of them are saying they will take 4 days to download! I have high speed broadband.

The call with the tech team is on Wednesday, I have not downloaded the files they want.

The issue is clearly a hardware issue but yet I have to go through these annoying steps. Drive you mad.

The OnePlus, a fantastic phone....until you have an issue and have to deal with their customer service. I waited 10 days for a response to a support ticket. Their responses are generic and robotic. They will do absolutely anything and everything to not replace your phone even when you clearly know its a hardware issue.

Mine has been fine since day one, it might have gotten a little bloated over time but a factory reset sorted that out.

After reading this thread and listening to a few podcasts lately I'm big time regretting recommending this to the Mrs over a G3. They're nice enough but it tends to do some strange things and I know that it's basically going to be DIY if anything goes wrong. The fact they seemed to wash their hands of any software support for it when the Two came out is disappointing as well.
Theres whole forums dedicated to the multiple issues on the G3, every android has its problems, the Oneplus is far, far better than most even at 50% of the price. Have a read of the Nexus 6 thread, Googles flagship and people were cursing it from the day it was released. Learn how to flash a ROM and you'll never have an issue.

Make a thread on XDA explaining the problem and they'll tell you what you're doing wrong, there shouldn't be any issues flashing an OPO.

Oh yeah I think we might have had this conversation already.

Seriously though if its driver issues look at device manager when you plug the device in and see what changes or pops up, that will tell you what drivers are being used, you can delete update as necessary.

You dont need bacon toolkit anyway, Ive forgotten this stuff every time I root and always end up doing it a different way, never even used bacon. It sounds like you've always had a quick app to do it for you but unfortunately that option doesn't exist yet, just bite the bullet and spend an evening getting it don the old fashioned way.

Just use Linux, no driver problems

Anyone here sell on their OPO before?

How did you wipe it before selling?

I want to sell but I'm worried I won't be able to get all my data off it.

Enable encryption first, then boot to recovery and do a factory reset

    Thanks.

Do you know if encryption protect apps and app data that I previously had installed but uninstalled before encrypting?

Also, is that all you did before selling? Did you bother logging out of apps and uninstalling apps one by one?

    Thanks in advance

Factory reset leaves the phone the way it was when you first turned it on, with no Google account or apps. All your own app info will be tied to your own Google account

Why encrypt the phone first then?

I read that even when the OPO is factory reset, data is still left on the phone.

Because it's still there, just the data blocks get turned off, anyone with tech skills can get it back.

    http://bgr.com/2015/05/27/android-phone-encryption-factory-reset/

Do your factory reset in recovery, select wipe data/factory reset and it will wipe the data partition

I am selling mine and I did a factory reset from the recovery and have now flashed the stock rom. All looks brand new and perfect again.

    Am I covered?
