Yeah it's pretty reasonable, I pay an extra euro a month to include loss cover (between smashing/losing them, I am brutal with phones)

Managed to replace the screen myself, fiddly and some pretty horrifying yanking of delicate electronics but got there in the end, saved myself €100. Make sure you get the full LCD assembly, do not try the tutorials where you're heating the glue and trying to separate the old screen, just swap the whole thing out, its easy enough to do, took me an hour.

I feel like overhauling the whole thing to celebrate, whats the best ROM currently? Haven't looked since I flashed Exodus last year...

After smashing my first OPO, I took out insurance with blueinsurance.ie on the second

Smashed the screen on it a few months in, naturally. Sent it to the insurer's repair company 2 weeks ago and they deemed it unrepairable and a replacement was to be issued. I was a bit concerned about what the replacement was going to be as it's still a bit of a niche phone, but I just got a brand new (Indian market as far as I can tell, set up was in Hindi) OPO in the post this morning. Happy with that!

Good to know. How much is the insurance?
Edit: €3.99 a month or €51.99 a year. Not bad!

The screen is 50 Quid, ive smashed 2 of them. They are easy to change , can turn 1 around in about 20 minutes.

Rest of the phone is highly replaceable.

Appear to have blown my external speaker. Any idea how/if I'd be able to replace it?

Lads what Irish networks have 4G that works on the oneplus one? I'm with Three and I dont get 4G - I believe they use a diffierent frequency that the OnePlus does not support. Is this true?

I'm with Three and get LTE (4G) without issue on my OPO. (PAYG)

I'm with 3 and get 4G, well it says LTE but that's the same thing.

It depends what band the three 4g is running on where you are, the one only supports one of them.

Or I might be talking ****e and thinking of Vodafone as apparently 3 4g is just on 1800MHz.

I get 4G with iD mobile for what it's worth. Around Clare and Limerick.

Weird, I have never seen LTE. Mine only ever says H or N or E. What do all those things mean?

Thanks, I wonder why I never get 4G. What should I do to look into this?

I can only get 4G on my opo when in cities or large towns. If I am at home I cannot get it, but my friend who has a S5 can get 4G.

I presume 4G is part of your package?
Have you checked your Preferred network type in Mobile network settings? Should be set to LTE (recommended) - most probably is but good to check.

You probably havent paid for it on you plan.

4g is almost always an upgrade option.

If its an older plan then they tend not to just hand it over
