I constantly have issues now where the people on the other end can't hear me, like I'm breaking up. But my signal is strong. Any ideas?

Turn off OK Google detection. Has been an issue for a while.

Hey guys, installed Bacon Cyanogen mod 12 from OxygenOS, so much more customisation which I love.

Although I can't seem to install the latest incremental update, I go to about phone>check for update>then install, phone reboots to recovery mode but doesn't install the update.

Tried to download the .zip file, put on internal storage and boot to recovery and install but an error happens in TWRP

Anyone run into the same problem or any help?

    Cheers.

Is it saying something about the updater binary?

If that's the case you may have to flash the latest version of Cyanogen firmware which can be got here:

This is weird, after a reboot the other night my Google search bar on the homescreen has disappeared and been relaced by a horrible looking grey bar that says "Get Now Cards". I turned off Google Now months ago as I found it to be a stupid waste of time always turning on GPS in my pocket and telling me how far I was from my parents house etc or giving weather updates for random places in the US, its still off though so WTF is going on? I usually solve these kind of things in 5 minutes myself but this one has me beaten, I cant get rid of it...

    Hi guys,

It's ages since I updated my ROM. I'm on 12.0-YNG1TAS213 and I'm constantly being invited to update to 12.1-YOG4PAS1N0.

I'm rooted with TWRP and when I click to install the update it just brings me to the TWRP menu but the install button in TWRP doesn't offer me the update ZIP.

It's so long since I did an update via TWRP I can't remember what to do :o

Do I download the update manually (can someone give me a link to the latest/best update I should use?) and then simply flash it via TWRP?

I recall that the correct thing to do if TWRP is installed is to NOT update the Cyanogen recovery when installing the new update. Is that correct? Is there anything else I need to do to process the update correctly? Do I need to reflash SuperSU?

    Thanks in advance.

Ok what I have done is used the following link
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/development/rom-cyanogen-os-12-1-t3186593

The guy get the rom and modifies it to be rooted and with twrp as recovery.
He normally has it done within a day or 2 of the ota being updated. Now it is the complete rom not the incremental.
I download it and flash it in twrp. Normally have to change my dpi again after but that's about it.
With the ota I have to replace twrp with the cyanogen recovery and then I lose my root and have use to pc to do the fastboot commands to get it back.

Caveat not responsible for instantaneous combustion of phone, you personal videos being part of the fappening etc

My OPO seems to have finally caved. The screen was already kind of broken, top half unresponsive due to tiny crack and I have actually ordered a new screen on ebay.

Was out last night and now the phone just won't do anything, won't charge turn on etc. When I plug it into my laptop at least my laptop recognises it which is something. Visibly there's nothing obvious.

I wonder is it a goner? Is there anyway of finding out if it's just the screen or if its water damage? I'd imagine it's the latter and if so is it fecked (I'm out of warranty)?

Any advice greatly appreciated as always!

Thanks Gar, appreciate the info it looks like a good solution.

The problem I seem to have is I can't downgrade TWRP from 2.8.6.1 to 2.8.6.0 as is needed to update the ROM. I've tried downgrading using TWRP and Flashify without success!!

Can I ask you a question please? Is the update YOG4PAS3JL used in the process you linked to a newer update than the YOG4PAS1NO I'm being asked to update to by my phone?

Update to 2.8.7.0 twrp. And yes 3JL is the latest, still being phased in

Just got the incremental update, hopefully it will solve the over-heating issue. Everytime I am in the car and its connected to bluetooth, feels like i have a heat pack attached to my leg. I do put it in the cup holder, but its crazy how hot the phone gets.

The solution on the previous page for upgrading, it's a full wipe right?

Nope. You dont wipe the data. I would recommend clearing the cache and dalvik

Thanks Gar, that worked a treat. I updated TWRP to 2.8.7.0, used my phone to download 12.1-YOG4PAS3JL from here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347853524 which put the ZIP file in the Download folder, booted into TWRP recovery, installed the ZIP file and waited, and waited and waited while it updated (you need to be patient) after which it rebooted and updated the OS and all apps etc. which was also a slow process. All in all it took about 15 minutes but was seamless and all seems to be working fine.

Do I need to clear cache and dalvik or is it now too late?

Anyone else having major issues with WiFi?

When I have my own WiFi turned on (UPC) it then turns off and tries to connect to the neighbours WiFi. This also happens in my mums who also uses WiFi.

Also quiet regularly, I keep having to input the password again because it deletes it after a couple of weeks.

    Anyone also having these problems?

No harm in doing it now anyway. Cleans things up a bit.
Glad it worked a treat. Now I will have to remember my post for the next ota!

    Wait till the screen arrives.

unfortunately because these are bonded once there is a even a small crack in the screen the touch digitiser is also dead dead.

So fit the new screen you should be good to go after that.

Are all these batteries fake do you think?

    http://www.aliexpress.com/af/oneplus-one-battery.html?ltype=wholesale&SearchText=oneplus+one+battery&d=y&origin=n&initiative_id=SB_20151112024122&catId=0&isViewCP=y

Mine is still holding up well, fixed the screen for the second time and did a reset and new Exodus Rom, its still like a brand new phone, just wondering how long Ill be able to keep it going...

try pressing and holding down the power button for about 10 seconds.

it always works for me whenever the phone is non-responsive like that

Yeah it randomly started charging 2 days later. Gonna fit the new screen and then might consider trading it to CEX who are apparently paying decent money for the OPO still (although mine isn't in great nick).

Xposed has now gone stable on marshmallow so it's now time for me to consider upgrading. Can anyone recommend a solid marshmallow ROM. I've been very happy with Exodus on lollipop for the last few months, looking for something as stable on marshmallow.

I'm not aware of a Marshmallow ROM at all, let alone a stable one :pac:
