Well I have gone to the dogs altogether in the past few weeks. Had hols & exam plus was away for a weekend break sat, need to be good again. Going to go back to class tomorrow evening, need to get back on the band wagon. Otherwise I'll just be annoyed at myself for slipping back into my old ways. Would love to lose a stone by Christmas....more if I can manage but have alot on the next month again. Hard to get motivated when you feel so bloated & sluggish.
Sorry for the moan! Just need to find my mojo again! Well done everyone the past few weeks, all doing so well!

    Hi Granniecaz,

Don't feel bad as soon as you get back on board you will notice that the bloating and sluggishness will go its amazing what losing one or two pounds does for the body not to mention the mind its what will motivate you to keep going, that and wearing what you want at Christmas that's what keeps me going... losing a stone by Christmas is very doable I lost 6.5 ibs in 2 weeks so yes go for it. if your out for a meal check the menu on line before hand so you have an idea what to have. maybe only stick to a main course but enjoy your few drinks and the next day go back to normal last Monday week I was so hung over but ate normal and did my walk and felt a lot better than I would if I had eaten a take away... good luck

Thanks, the way I see it, the new job is giving me a better routine (shorter working days) so I'll have no excuses not to exercise and things now :D

Congrats and best wishes on the new job SillyBeans.
I've nothing to report this week, didn't get to meeting. My own scales is showing STS which I'm happy enough with.
Am going to aim for a stone loss by Christmas, and that would bring me very close to goal.

Well done everyone, and best of luck for the week ahead.

    ^ Thanks :)

I haven't gone to my meeting on Tuesday, was snowed under with work in my old/current job and wanted to get it sorted. According to my own scales I've lost the weight I gained at the last weigh in plus another half a pound. I'd like another 2-3 off this week, being extra good!

Well done Purple pawnprints your the same as me we both have 11 ibs to lose which is very doable by Christmas.

I stayed the same this week but I'm not letting it get me down I had a great weekend and if you can eat all of what I had and stay the same then maintaining is going to be ok I reckon. Back to normal this week I have noting on for the next 2 weekends so I intend to stay in. Got a bottle of weight watchers rose wine last night in Dunnes for €8 which is great considering I bought one 2 weeks ago in Tesaco for €12.95!! A glass or 2 out of my weekly's Saturday and a glass or 2 on Sunday making the dinner that's as mad as I'm going to get this weekend and I'm glad. It will be nice not to have the dread at weigh in next Wednesday that I had last night..

    Have a great week everyone:)

Woohoo! Staying the same is great, you're not any worse off than you were the week before :) I'm not a huge drinker but I've had a hankering for a glass of Rose for a while. Does it taste nice? I know it's lower % than normal wine but I'm a total light weight anyway so that's not a problem!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 64 ✭✭barneylou

    Hi Sillybeans

I'm more a red wine kinda Gal but yeah its nice and fruity and light I think its 18 points for the whole bottle which isn't bad when you have 49 weekly's and you still feel like your having a wee treat. I'm not a lover of sweet stuff so on a Saturday I'll have a sandwich in town when I'm doing the shopping I just think its easier to point then on a Saturday evening ill make a home made pizza with a wrap and have a glass or two the wrap is pointed and comes out of the dallies and so I feel like I'm having a treat and not depriving myself of any thing.. If you like rose then def give it a try.

I think it's 4pp. I don't have my phone on me to check the app. Do you have the app? It'll tell you for sure on there.

Don't worry about a gain, if it was your first week you're still getting used to it. Start fresh today and the scale should go down next week. :)

    Thanks silly beans :)

I didn't know there was an app.....I'll be downloading that straight away!! What would the app be named??

I think it's just called weightwatchers. If you look in the app store/play store it'll have it for free. There's also one called value diary. That one costs a few euros but there's no monthly fee and it has all the points values too ;)

Can't seem to find the weight watchers one.....I will ask at group! Thanks again :)

I just use the value diary one, even though I'm a paid member. Has lots of useful settings and things.

Edit: just realised that I used to use the WW app when I lived in England, might not be available on the Irish app store

Hi all, I've been lurking this thread for a bit, finally decided to say hi :) I've been doing WW with their online program for about 9 weeks now and am down 10lbs today. I gained a bit of weight very quickly after moving abroad this year so decided to bite the bullet and join WW when I saw they were doing a special promo offer. So far I'm very happy with the results. As of today I am 14.2lbs away from my goal weight, so just over a stone, and if I could hit that by Christmas I'd be very pleased!

It's been great reading about other people's success!

Hi Amy, Welcome! You will get lots of support here:) Hopefully we can all motivate each other to get a stone off each of us by Christmas. Good luck on your journey.

Hey everyone :) I just got the Sunday world newspaper and for anyone interested there's a little weightwatcher section in the magazine. There's success stories, fake-away receipes etc and 2 €0.70 cent vouchers for some new Knorr soup :)

Well done on everyone's losses keep up the good work :) and welcome to the new members/posters

I was away for last weeks weigh in and was bold :P so hopefully I'll be ok for next weigh in :)

    Hi all,

Great to see new people on the thread all fighting the same battle ourselves!! I'm having a good week hope it will show on Wednesday's weigh in!! I'm away this evening so I just did a 30 min walk at lunch time and I'm delighted I usually do it in the evening so planned ahead and brought my runners with me it feels like another little goal something I would never have done before starting weightwatchers that's really what its about I guess making small changes.. Did take into my bottle of ww wine and have a few Friday night and finished it Saturday nite but apart from that and its allowed I was good.. Roll on Wednesday stayed the same last week and with 11 pounds to go here's hoping ill have a loss this week.

    good luck everyone

Guys what is going on with this site lately, I keep getting random notifications of updates to this thread and nobody has commented (that I can see) since the last time I checked?!!?!? Hope everyone is having a good week. Did a sneaky weigh in this morning and I'm down a few pounds. Proper weigh in tomorrow so we'll see how that goes!

I've been asked to work late so probably won't make weigh in. Frustration! I did try on some trousers that were far too tight a few weeks ago, they do up nice and easily now. Yay!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 144 ✭✭granniecaz

I'm finally heading back to class tonight. Didn't get to go last week so going to have to take whatever the gain is & work from there!

That's a great feeling SillyBeans, well done.

That's always how I look at it too granniecaz. I'm always glad when I just go, take the news, whatever it is, and get started again.

I've nothing to report this week, but will definitely be at class next week. Best of luck, everyone.

Up half a pound this morning but I was at a 21st at the weekend and went completely over board so I'm surprised I didn't gain more!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 64 ✭✭barneylou

    Hi all,

I'm the same only I'm getting no notifications at all so it looks like no one has commented then I go in and there's lots nice suprize though. I have weigh in this evening I'm hopeful as I reckon I was good this week but time will tell. I hate that Sillybeans when you just what one evening you can get to class and something comes up I have to race from weigh in for a removal that starts at 7 should be about 5 mins late but wont be noticed.

God 1/2 pound isn't bad purple pawprints sure you will have that and more of next week. there will always be things coming up I have a meal out with the girls in 2 weeks time.. and my sons in a football final this sunday so I'm going to have to be extra good but on saying that I'm going to enjoy my meal and my few drinks.. you have to be able to live or what's the point..

    Good luck all x

That's exactly it. It's very very difficult to be 100% on plan all the time. Hoping I can lose about 1lb this week. I've got nothing coming up this week so I can focus and hopefully have a loss.

Once you're good before and after the event it is possible to lose or stay the same at least. Enjoy the football and your meal out. :)

God... last year I remember reading someones posts for months and months complaining that they couldn't stay on track and thinking, stop complaining and follow the plan! Now it's me still not back on track since CHRISTMAS. I've been on goal for a week then gain then lose the same 5 or 6 pounds :(

Never got back on track after my holiday last month. My scales ( Which I'm 90% sure are broken) kept giving me the same weight just 2lb above goal so I just didn't bother. Then I broke up with the guy I'd been seeing. And then I was really stressed with interviews. And then I got it so I had to celebrate and It's all excuses! !

On my way back today again to class. So fingers crossed the damage isn't too bad.

I've been trying today but I've no points left after 12 points on museli :o and 4 on "healthy" popcorn. It said 80 calories per portion. The portion is 14g of a 28g bag... it wasn't even nice! I was just starving
