No sign of the press conference starting. If I knew it was starting soon, I'd probably stay up but looking at that black screen that's been telling me it'll start in a few moment for about 20 minutes doesn't seem that appealing.

Genuine question, how big a difference would Mendes only having a 2 week camp have made to his conditioning? He looked gassed when they came up from floor at end of round 2, how long do fighters usually do camp for pre fight?

I agree that McGregor wasn't stopped early, but there's no comparison to the Rory stoppage. Jesus, as soon as Robbie landed that I was worried for Rory. He knew himself he couldn't take another second in there.

Yeah I agree, but my point is the refing is consistent.

Im anybody but mcgregor fan.. I di t like his personality or the shams that follow him but i think the guy is a freak

I cant see aldo causing him problems now.. Aldo couldn't do that to mendez so I can see mcgregor beating aldo.. Im sure aldo is very worried now

Camps are usually around 6 weeks afaik. Mendes said himself pre fight that it wouldn't have made a huge difference to him and he prefers a shorter camp.

Also the body shots McGregor landed visibly winded him a few times.

This isn't a thought that many in this thread will care about, but Conor would do very well in the WWE when his fighting career is over as he's got everything they would be looking for. He could make serious money there will into his 40s

    Camp is generally 8-10 weeks.

I'd imagine his cardio wouldn't be in tip top shape but he walks around at the weight he fights at more or less and he keeps in excellent shape.

He gassed himself going for the guillotine. Connor worked his body insanely well so he may gassed early anyways, you liver and ribs can only take so much punishment. Connor also used the time on the mat to rest, even though he was eating elbows every now and then only a few connected and Chad was blowing energy to keep him pinned for so long.

Looks like neither McDonald or Lawer will be at the presser. Typical stream went down during there fight virtually missed all of it. Read it was a cracker, from the pics, one got a nose job and the other got his jaw line sent in a new direction XD

    *just press conference.

Nah I meant was Eamonn Dunphy gonna be taxi'd over to RTE, from outside the local nightclub, to say how much of a shambles it was!! ;)

Person I am most glad has been shut up tonight - Urijah Faber.

    Christ, he was unbearable.

Fcuk me. Where to start. What a card!

We now know for certain that Conor is the real deal. I just watched it back. He hurt Mendes in the first to the body at least twice. Chad was clearly winded after the spinning back kick landed.

I see a few people say they were worried when Conor was on his back. Personally, I felt he controlled Chad fairly well from his back. Ate a few elbows but he rolled with most of them. On the feet he's just on a different level. That left hand is a thing of beauty.

Iv gained even more respect for both fighters after that. What a sport!

But the Lawler fight is a great example. As soon as Rory went down and covered up the ref stopped it, in LESS time than the mcgregor fight.

You have to fight back, you can't just curl up and hope it goes away.

Yep I think some people on here were waiting on the 10 count....Mendes was out on his feet a good 5 secs before he went down
