Doran isn't as dramatic as Oberyn was, but I think he's a really interesting character. They just haven't given him enough screen time though. The whole handling of Dorne has been a mess from the beginning. That plot had so much potential and it just became kind of farcical, and part of that problem was spending too much time with the Sand Snakes and not enough time with Doran, imo.

Dorne was a disaster tbh. What a shame it'll be if the only consequence of that whole plot is sending the young lad to Kings Landing. I get the feeling than Doran is every bit as mad as the others about Oberyns death but that he just knows better than to go to war over it. Hopefully he's got something up his sleeve.

Oh, he definitely is. The alliance with the Lannisters was very shaky to begin with after the murder of their sister at the hands of the Mountain, I can't imagine having Oberyn killed by the same man is going to help things. Doran isn't a hot-head like Oberyn though. I'd say he's biding his time, but does very much intend to do something about all of this.

I'm still curious about why he is sending the young fella to King's Landing though. Is he aware of what has happened there with the Faith Militant? It feels like he could be walking him into a potential disaster there.

Im thinking the same but it almost seems too obvious tbh. At least Oberyn was able to look after himself if the **** hit the fan, Tristan (?) is only a kid, can't see him doing much damage to the mountain.
