you seem to be taking a sensible approach but I'm just going to suggest that you might try to fall in love with running for a little bit longer before you commit to the marathon this year...cos there's nothing like falling out of love with running at mile 14 in the marathon because you just haven't got enough running in your legs  Would you consider building up a training and racing base over the next 12 months and starting a marathon plan this time next year?
