Heard a lad coming out with that rubbish the other day. It might have been true fifty years ago when the "hay" was made in July and half of it was rushes.
Rain has just stopped after five hours bucketing down. Lots of cattle back in sheds around here.

and lads crying for rain a week or 10 days ago, them boys deserve an australian style drought sometime.

Ara stop Jack, do you not listen to the Bord Bia lad on the telly, sure the rain is what makes the lambs grow, the more the better.

Keep the chin up lads, last May was the wettest may in 14 years, and look at how the year turned out.
( now I need to go empty out the barn to make room for all that hay)

Pure sh1te is the only way to describe the weather here now. Dog is looking very miserable outside (don't worry he has plenty of shelter ) but is isisting on sitting out in the rain.

Made some amount of rain from here to Castlebar today, saw a few ewes looking worried on the way, 80% of the field was under water.
