This famous app torque is it android only ? I'm an iPhone man myself but there is a samsung Galaxy s3 lying around the house not in a great state but working.
So a few questions. Will it work on my car I assume it's completely harmless and you can't cause any damage using it. Where do I download the app is it expensive?

Finally what do I need for my car some kind of bluetooth adapter anyone have a link to a decent one. What does the app actually do ?

    Thanks.

That's the link to the app. I have it a few years, it is good. Measure 0-100, read and clear error codes. And yes it will work on your car.
The adapter below is the one I have. I'm sure if you search the name you will get a seller in UK or Ireland.

My new Goodyear eagle f1s have to go on the front. Upgraded to koni sport shocks and they designed the spring pan based on the 16 inch tyres that were available for the phase 1.

However I've phase 2 17 inch alloys so as a result, the tyres rub of the spring pan.
Absolutely sickening, they're only two months old and now I've to go and replace both front tyres with 215s.

Had to drive back from wexford with a highly modified and new to me suspension set up with a space saver and a spare sixteen inch wheel I had that had decent rubber.
    Wasn't fun at all.

What a machine! Largest aircraft in the world. I'd go down for take-off tonight if I lived closer.

    Nice one thanks.

That adapter doesn't have vw listed as compatible vehicles so not sure it will work. So if anyone has a link for one they've used on a vw as Id rather get one that someone has used. As some of the obd that are sold never work from what I read.

I'd say it will work. I used it on a few vehicles not listed.

But then again it is peace of mind getting one someone has used in a golf.

Didn't work with my old 106 even though it was listed. BMW works no problem though.

Do you have that exact model adaptor?

It didn't work with my 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage Asti Mivec
or my current 1998 BMW e39.

But both of those cars do not have the obdII standard as they are older cars. OBDII standard came into Europe around 2001-present.

How does someone lose a grille for a car  I want to put the wire mesh one on the focus for a change but I can't for the life of me find it!!

There is a model of focus called a 'collection' they have the mesh grille on them. 3399_d.jpg

Or if you want to splash out for a new one a company called lockwood make them. http://www.lockwoodinternational.co.uk/

    Edit: found them, http://www.lockwoodinternational.co.uk/focus-2002-2005-lower-stainless-steel-grille-part-no-9023-more-details-i938.html

Was just doing oil for a woman in a Mk. II Yaris, top of the oil cap was full of mayo, some on the dipstick too, nothing in the coolant though, told her to get thee to a mechanic, looks like it's on the way out to me.

Headgasket obviously on the way out so. Happened to a friends yaris water in the oil causing the Mayo scum on the filler cap. It's unreal how many cars suffer from headgasket failure especially older stuff.

The vectra parked beside us on the ferry had a lot of mayo on its cap when the owner was topping it up. He was driving to geneve. Didn't see him on the ferry on the way back but we wondered a few times whether he made it or not.

One of the lads in work had a 1.9 straight diesel berlingo a 03 first new model one last year headgasket was gone as I was out looking at it with him oil in coolant Mayo on filler cap he was traveling an hour each way to work I think he got about a week out of it but he had to crawl around as if you drive it on at all the engind temperature just went through the roof. He wasn't too bothered as he had another engine for it anyway.

Ya I knew that, when buying the car, the ford badge on the grille was broken off, so the dealer gave me the mesh grill, this was off a ghia x though, any I've seen before were on the collection. Preferred the look of the conventional grille so got one in a breakers. I want a change so I said I'd root out the other one. No luck thus far. That debadged one in the link is absolute stink! Looks skangery to me!

He was wasting his time. Engine would have gotten up to temp in ten minutes in a diesel regardless. Pushing it on would have created more problems but regular driving wouldn't.

Ah he wasn't overly bothered I think that was his fifth one he used to buy them very cheap and just buy another when anything major went wrong although he kept one or two for spare parts. If it was me personally I'd buy the 2.0hdi berlingo it was the difference of it being as dead as a door nail to being a quick van far nicer to drive.
