Finished my first week of work. 4 days of 12 hour shift in a row so I'm fairly tired now will take a bit of getting used too. But I'm happy enough I'll certainly learn a lot over the summer.

On a car related note I'm going to go to the main dealer to change the fuel filter for the golf as I got the wrong one. Other than that I won't being doing much car related stuff for a few weeks. Although some time next month I want to get the gearbox oil and brake fluid changed.

I'd say mid 20's. I know that sounds like splitting hairs but it would have been a big difference back in the day

It is very very narrow. It fits in my shed like, but if the lads could find out beforehand the dimensions of the rollers I'd see if the car'll fit, if not I'll bring Bishop

If you ever get the ferry back from France for the love of God book a cabin!!! Nothing more miserable than trying to sleep in the truckers lounge while some drunken moron is having a shouting match with the staff. I know there were no cabins available but I'm still holding you responsible 166man

On another note, still so pleased with the 166 over this trip. Just about 3200km covered in a week and the only thing that hasn't worked perfectly on it was the headlights. Needed to replace both dip beams, everything else was perfect. It didn't burn a single drop of oil over the entire trip! Impressive for any 14 year old car over that kind of distance and it's not like it was driven gently

Dyno day eh

/ Secretly runs out to fit a new uprated highly modified engine to his 105bhp golf leaves outside completly standard. The car dynos at 300bhp cost of the upgrade financially crippling and completely uneconomical to do.


Look on people's faces when the car hits 300bhp priceless :pac:


I don't know why but this is the first thing I though of when you said dyno day :pac:
