    Just arrived into Dublin from Stansted! Very rough landing and took an age to descend! Thought we were going around again it took so long! Glad to be back on the ground!

    Winds will be very strong at DUB between 8-12 this evening, you got in before the action I'd say.

    Anyway, what harm if your diverted to Cork or Shannon? Its still closer to Dublin than Stansted is to London!

    No way. You try getting from Shannon or Cork to Dublin in under the 50mins it takes to get from Stanstead to London.

    It was an exaggerated pun relating to Ryanairs use of airports outside of the main city.

    FR109 go around SNN, holding near ORK (unusually), Shannon Airport are reporting the flight as landed (its not). Gained altitude now so heading to DUB or even further.

    FR1409 holding at ORK


    Wind: 22:00

    SNN 37KTS G53
    ORK 33KTS G46

    Cork has a direct crosswind unlike SNN which has none/little.

    I'm 2 miles from dub airport and the winds are unreal. Certainly one of the worst I've seen and heard in a while. It picked up about 30mins ago...
