Irony on board a British AIRWAYS plane as passengers gasp for AIR

    • Plane was at 10km
    • Pilot narrowly avoids hypoxia by heroically reaching over and putting on his oxygen mask

There was shock and horror on a British Airways plane this afternoon when the pilot told the passengers that there was no oxygen left. The plane decended to a DANGEROUSLY low altitude of 10,000ft. The captain decided against diverting to Scotland because he went on a holiday there and didn't like it.

However, Wayne from Manchester swears it was flying so low that it nearly crashed into his house. "It was brushing the rooftops, it's ridiculous. It was speeding too. It just swerved and missed a group of schoolchildren and KITTENS".

Picture of the plane at 10,000ft snapped from the ground

The oxygen was finally working again but Dave, who was on board the plane and spoke to our reporter, says it was not pure oxygen. "I know oxygen and this wasn't it. It's like it was mixed with NITROGEN or something". Dave was emigrating because a foreigner took his job.

Ei922 diverted to Faro on the way to lanzarote, unusual as it usually diverts on the other leg.

Short Presidential hop back from an official dinner.

I would have thought one of the IAC helos would have been more convenient ( and cheaper! ).

one Beluga inbound into Airbus Chester and one beluga outbound also, bound for Toulouse.

very unusual to see two of them there at the same time, especially on a Sunday.

The dreamlifter by far, but they are both extremely ugly planes.

EI147 DUB-SFO cabin crew will be out if hours very soon, they're looking for operations to try organise a priority push for them, they're currently 8th in the queue

Bit late to the EI146 party, but I was on this flight. 3 hours sitting on board before departing. Just missed going out of hours but christ, the crew acted like they had. They seemed to serve the meal the second we rotated and threw them out very quick. Lots of tired sulky faces half way through the flight.

Returned yesterday, better service but still think it had taken a dip in the past few years. Serious crosswind too, landed on 28 just before 16 was in use.
I'm waiting to board a flight and there's a 747 parked up over near the fire station.

Looks like a cargo plane but tis too dark and too far away to see what it is.first time I've seen one here in years!

Lovely minimalist livery on it too :)

I think Dreamlifter as its still retains some of the B747 lines:

FR24 claims they are Hawk T. Mk. 1 - Red Arrows are the only remaining RAF user of the Mk 1.
I think 100 Sqn still use T.1s at RAF Leeming . There are also T.1s with FRADU , although they are Fleet Air Arm of course

Probably some kind of minor technical fault as it'd seem they're not an emergency.

Nice sub on the NAX1362 from Oslo to Dublin tonight; A332 CS-TFZ!

Might be more interesting ones this week as sympathy strikes start amongst other divisions of Norwegian.

Does anyone know if VG/VLM9618 that's flying over Dublin at the moment is a scheduled flight? I think it's going to BFS.
