When I seen EI911 all I could think of is how unfortunate that flight number is.

    Why?

Are you one of those who gets a bit excited about September 11th 2001? Or the US emergency phone number? In which case, what about any 112 Flight numbers?

I don't get this idea that the number might be unfortunate.

That one looks to have a spot of bother at the moment as it descended to FL100 overhead Santiago de Compostela! I wonder what's up

Edit- Ryanair site has it diverting to Faro for "operational reasons"

Jaysus no need to get defensive, I think its a funny coincidence with the 9/11 incident in America.

Technically that date was 119 what with it being the 11th day of the ninth month and all;)

Both are equally correct. Technically 11inches is 27.94cm (weird fact I remember) and visa versa. They are just different formats.

I have taken flight FR666 on multiple occasions and its one that makes me chuckle every time.

surely they could have picked another name, though i guess people dont really bother about it.

Haha no, that just flies parts needed for maintenance around. Its far cheaper than using a 737.

I didn't realise they were still flying!
NASA personnel at Ellington Field have outfitted the Super Guppy with a specially designed cradle to be used when carrying International Space Station components.

    Looks sharp.

That caught my eye too, it's a US Army plane isn't it? Any idea where the flight originated given it's relatively short range?

Obviously people in here fly around often enough, some in their daily jobs, but I thought doing a leg to Vegas in a 747 warranted a mention :P
