Its about half way in between them. If you go from the bohermore roundabout, it'll appear on your left right after you go through the second set of traffic lights at liosbaun/riverside.

Applegreen Tuam Rd looks open now.
The Tuam Road is now the place to buy cars and to buy fuel.

Five car dealers - the Dacia place beside Applegreen, JJ Fleming (Opel), Monaghans (Skoda), Colm Quinn (BMW) and Kennys (Volvo/Citroen).

Four filling stations - Topaz (Cemetry Cross), Applegreen, Top (beside Flemings) and Esso (beside Monaghans).

Fancy Fare in Salthill is shutting down, another shop less.

Edit: Its reopened again with some of the owners from the Centra shop.

Does the new Applegreen have a car wash? And does it offer the same 5c off fuel when you buy a wash that Athlone does?

    This too shall pass.

Is it the one on Quay street?

Yeah, actually thinking some more, you're right, it is Quay St.

is it the same owners that are opening a coffee shop there or is the unit leased out to someone else? Best of luck to them anyway, competition is fierce I'd say considering the amount of coffee shops opened in town over the last couple of years.

Heard Fancy Fare in Salthill has changed owners. Anyone know if it's still a shop or become something else?

Poundworld closed last week as well.
I assume it was the arrival of Dealz that finished it off?

Yes there's a sign on the outside of the shop anyways, I didn't get close enough to see if it's open.

    Horrible location for it though.

If they market it properly and it's the only one in Galway the location won't make a huge difference.
