Hang on there. The pomelo is a precursor of the grapefruit. The grapefruit is a cross between mandarin and pomelo.

According to molecular studies, the mandarin, the citron, the pomelo, and the papeda were the ancestors of all other citrus species.

Pomelo in aldi are from China.
Do u think it is safe to eat fruits/veg from China ?

If I go down this evening, will they still have the Super 6 up until tomorrow or will they be clearing out for tomorrow?

I was in 2 today and there was no blueberries left but that had plenty of the apples and oranges and some of the spuds.

Gonna miss the current offer which ended today. Probably the best super 6 offer I have seen, kept me going for such a bargain price .
    Thanks Aldi !

I got their red apples before and they are bad - went rotten within about 5 minutes of the first bite. Their green apples are perfectly OK though. I got the blueberries for my mum when they came out and she said they were really good.

I hope they have the blueberries on offer again soon. I bought loads and put them in the freezer. Frozen blueberries in piping hot porridge, gorgeous.

True there is only so many lemons you can get through but the ham potatoes and apples are good value. Thanks for ending our big wait to find out!

Fruit and veggie offer price seems to vary week to week. As said before, not great this week.

I enjoyed the pomelo too. I bought two, it took me about half an hour to prepare the first one between peeling it and then cutting all the membranes away from the flesh. I like that it's rather dry, so you can easily eat it out of your hand without getting juice everywhere. That first pomelo lasted me 3-4 days. I have the second one out to be tackled tomorrow morning.

Hopefully we'll be getting some vouchers then too - it's been too long since the torrent of vouchers in December.

Good value and ideal for freezing. Cheapest fresh salmon on Tesco website seems to be E15.63 / kg, 25% dearer than this.
