    I won't. I checked. I'll have a beachfront home.

So let it warm, let it warm, let it warm.

Got a Mountek nGroove today, like this.

Not my pics but you get the idea. :p

Fits into the cd slot on the car and holds a phone using a magnet and metal tag. Pretty nice! I had a suction mount but it kept falling off the window.

A set of 4 sparkplugs on order for E100. Normal price is closer to 180 or so.

It occurs to me that the iridium that makes the tips of these came from the same asteroid that annihilated the dinosaurs.

So, 65 million years ago, this Iridium incinerated dinosaurs and cooked the planet.

And now, today, the same Iridium is incinerating dinosaurs and cooking the planet.

Ordered 4 plugs just now myself, but with less dinosaurs n shít :P

They're to go with the single plug I accidentally ordered instead of 5 aaaages ago and lost, then found earlier in the spare wheel well :o Will have a full set of five of these by the weekend to replace the chaip(er) ones I fitted ages ago.

Few quid to be saved on micksgarage too lads n lasses:

Good job you found it. Would have been an expensive mistake to lose it.
Are you getting someone to install it or are you gonna tackle it yourself?

Same lads in Dundalk that did the stem seals will be popping it in tomorrow.
Gonna get the new water pump installed too and alternator bracket gasket replaced, have all the parts ready to go.
Might as well get the injectors cleaned up too whilst the intake manifold is out.

Will ask them to take some pics again if they can.

Seen this on display during last summer. If I had the money I'd love to get it.

Not sure why they used such sh*t photographs of it, but in real life it looks amazing. Love that the rear is raised up.

Not sure how true this is bit a friend was telling me if you declare your car off the road you can claim the tax back on it?

True, but only from the month following it being off the road.

ie; if you declare it off the road on March 5th, you still pay tax for March. (I'm not sure if you are allowed drive it for the rest of March or not, though).

So in other words, declare it off the road at the end of the month.

I've seen worse photos... but it looks like a legitimate photographer actually took those for VW or for Irish car+travel mag.... which I don't know.

Ah, I dunno.. maybe I'm just long since "over" the whole HDR thing, but I'd sooner buy it based on a photo like the one below:

They would have sold more in Ireland if there was more chrome as standard. With an option for 3 additional levels of chrome packs.

Hi lux and the ranger have got this sussed from what I've seen.

Think your typical pickup driver is suspicious of something with a 2.0 engine and an interior from this decade.

These arent meant as working pickups though! like many of the hiluxes and rangers - the more chrome the less work... I thought tarmac merchants had moved in down the way when a neighbour arrived with a decked out 2.2 ranger. I think the chrome bits had extra chrome bits tacked on.

Well then... That's something I wasn't expecting.... Turns out my car is an import whore :pac:

Rang BMW Ireland about the E46 airbag issue... he couldn't find it on the Irish system, fair enough - I imported it from NI. He checked that system and nope.... Dun dun dun! Apparently it was originally from the Netherlands!

Makes very little sense to me though - why would someone have bought a wrong-hand drive E46?

Worked with a guy from the UK before who made out that he could order a RHD golf or whatever from some benelux setup and collect it from there and have it landed home cheaper than buying in the UK. That was a Looong time ago now so my recollection is hazy.

This was extremely popular practice in car magazines years ago like evo, top gear you would see ads for desirable new cars with huge waiting lists in uk.
These middlemen dealers in Europe would save someone thousands on the latest fad, Audi tt,BMW mini, Mk 4golf gtis, vw beetle etc.fiat barracheta.
They would save someone months waiting also.

Only down side is I think they didn't have as much warranty as one bought originally in the UK or ireland.
And when you were selling one on your supposed to inform the next buyer..

I think they were called grey imports and suffered a lot of stigma by some greedy uk main dealers

I was thinking something similar to be honest, I remember reading something like that a long time ago, but don't have any info beyond vague recollection!

Could also be an ex Army Officer car maybe?

A lot of high end Jap stuff used to hit the UK via Ireland in the 90's. Remember the ZZ plates?
