^ I assumed by Linda's reaction when they went for the scan that the dates meant it had to be Mick's. She looked relieved when the nurse said however many weeks it was. I don't think it's ever actually been confirmed though.

    FÚCK THAT. Very disappointing.

If it was Corrie he would be sent down but this is Eastenders Villains sometimes win

its realistic. no body of evidence could convict him at this stage. EE has plenty of villains who get away! Janine for murder amongst others, shirley for attempted murder, alfie for arson, nick for everything he does etc etc etc...... villains rarely get convicted in soaps. CS is no different.

i think though realistically this is what would happen with dean. he will get his comeuppance though, grant assured.

When Linda was being interviewed she was asked was protection used. She said no and that she was pregnant and they didn't know whose baby it was.

You say if it was Corrie he would be sent down, despite Frank in Corrie found not guilty for similar?

People rarely go down on soaps because there's always someone lying to protect their own dirty deeds or someone gets blackmailed or whatever.
Shirley got away with shooting Phil because Ronnie had used the same gun to kill yer man a while before.

This story line is a rare occasion where it's realistic that someone would get off without any interference or funny business.

Didn't EE producer Dominic say there would be justice served to Dean but not prison so unless Mick or Lee gives him a decent bashing or kills him, what else can be done?

This (spoiler) may be part of his 'justice' perhaps.

    From the article:
Although, the family have got the police involved, the soap's executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins revealed that Dean won't be facing justice through the courts.
'In real life, a lot of people don't get their comeuppance. There will have to be a satisfying ending to the story, but it won't be what you expect,' he said back in October.
'The easy and wrong way to tell the story would be to have Dean arrested and taken off to prison. I'd loved to have done a big trial, but there won't be one.'

The rest of the Square finding out what he did, his business suffering, Shirley deciding she believes Linda... there are various ways he could be punished.

But why would Dean stay around then?

Well I'm not saying all of that will happen, just a variety of possibilities.

    Here you go

Will give it a watch, as apart from Nick killing Reg Cox I don't think I know anything about the first episode... but given everyone knows that happened it seems to obvious for it to be that.

Didn't see her but she finished filming in December so unlikely she'll be in the live week eps.
