I just love having my car covered in some form of concrete dust

First wash and wax of the year...the car was filthy. It'll look nice for all of 2 hours before she's covered in muck again! Ah well!

Show us a pic of this "muck". Probably just a light covering of dust compared to some of us country boiiiis standards!

Oh dangerous stuff, be careful washing it!
It could be like sand blasting!

Yeah, I'd say I'll have to wipe it off or blow it off with a microfiber towel first, it seems to come off easy enough.

Use your pressure washer to remove it and if you've already washed, just use a quick detailer as a drying aid.

I only recently (would you believe) discovered the incredible brilliance of the Microfibre Madness "Dry Me Crazy" towel. You'll have the whole car dried in about 2 minutes without even turning to a new side!

    Got mine from Detailing Shed.

I got mine washed yesterday, I had to wash the windows today just so I could see out!

Don't use a wash mitt or anything until you've removed as much of that dust as you can with the washer first.

How on earth have you lasted this long without one of them? You of all people like!

They really are one of those things that you don't miss until you have one and once you have one you wonder why you never had one before

I've been using normal sized cloths up to 2 washes ago. Won't be doing that ever again.

Need to change the radio in the focus, dial is frigged on the current one. Toying with the idea of putting a double din size touch screen type unit in, sat nav kind of job. Can't seem to come across any though.

I actually think the saab and new volvos have them in better places (in dash and next to gearbox)

too easy for anyone to reach in a window and steal your keys while at lights etc.

I think i posted about it here once

Does that actually happen? Never once heard of it happening except in that episode of the Simpsons.

"Is there a button or a release for these keys?"

About keys and ignitions. I had a Nissan and once the car was started you could take the key out while you were driving. All cars I had you couldn't do that.

Factory! My brother says it looks like its crying!
Which is what it would be doing if it could I reckon!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,553 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

My avensis could do that, but you had to kinda turn it in a certain way to do it.

Was it a Sunny by any chance?

This car it slid out very easily. I'm surprised it never fell out itself. Discovered it once on a long drive and was messing with the key.
