Another dislike of mine is female versions of male names, for e.g. Nigella, Thomasina, Patrice

    I knew a Paulette once ... yuck.

I hate names like those ... Georgina, Josephine, Geraldine, etc ... basically telling the world that you wish your little girl had been a little boy!

As I understand it, Brooklyn Beckham was so called as he was conceived in Brooklyn in New York. I wonder what the kid would have been called if the deed was done in Muff Co. Donegal or Hackballs Cross Co Louth or even Bastardstown Co Wexford.

Friends named their kid Peter. Not so bad you might think, however their surname is Peters.

It's actually spelt Sadhbh. And I think it's a beautiful name.

How do you pronounce Sadhbh?

Sive (and that's sive to rhyme with five, rather than rhyming with give.)

    Isis.

This would be a strange name now because ISIS is now a well known terrorist organisation, but what was the problem with it in 2011?
