One of my front brake backing plates is rattling, I'd love to join the club too, but I doubt an Alfa is unreliable enough for this crew:D

You must just drive the car day and night you seem to clock up serious miles :)

I do a fair bit but the girlfriend works in Dub so it's 120-130 miles per day!
Only a 3 day week (Nurse) but it adds up like crazy.

Plus we bring that when we're going anywhere over the Astra :)

Got it March of '13 with 133k on it.
    760 miles a week average.
    Calculated €10,908 on diesel
    And roughly €2,600 in Tax!

I'm going to stop now :(:pac:

Do you think that bill would be much smaller if you got a 525 or 520d? Fuel that is.

Hehehe..... 900 miles a week average in the Merc..... ;)

In 2 weeks something like 2500 miles were clapped up on it

Well if we say that a 520 done 50mpg realistically?
    €9,135

Ah feck it you only live once.
That said a 530i doing what 25-28 would see me at..
    €16,429 @26.5mpg

I think it's a good middle ground at big mileage, also the old big diesel engine reliability of the M57 has been faultless so other than €50 a service it's been perfect!

That must be a lot of petrol each week. Although maybe there not as bad as I think what would you be looking at 30 mpg

    E60 all cleaned up.
Cheated a little though as I left it in for a valet due to time constraints.

Got drunk and took an exhaust off tonight. Should be able to just bolt on a new middle section if one can be got. Anyone ever come across a hub with 2 pcds? Looks like it needs to be drilled/reamed to take studs though. Looks like if you did widen them out it would come fairly close to the edge of the hub. Maybe 1 or 2mm. Not sure if that is as dodgy as it first seems.

I wouldn't drill the other holes. I don't think they are pcds. I would use the original ones.
About Mitsubishi sites. You joined irishmoc at a bad time. For some reason the site is down, first time I seen it happening.
You should try coltuk.org and also mivec.co.nz some of the Irish guys on irishmoc are on those sites as well. Another Mitsubishi Irish site is mitsipieces.com
