Most likely my girlfriend on her way home from work.

Thanks, its the result of 6 and a half years of saving, so I do take some pride in it, I couldn't ever see myself selling it.

    Fair play man :)
I love the black wheels, I think they contrast lovely with the white paintwork.

To be honest it's not a car I'd ever buy but I really can always stand back and admire a car that is looked after and looks so well!

Yeah even in the dark the car was looking well I was too far away to see the driver though :-)

I don't think its a car a lot of people would ever consider buying, which is great if you're buying secondhand because they depreciate like no other in the first few years :pac:

Thanks, she has a bit of an awful commute from home to Coolock each morning and evening, and passing through Balbriggan. Wallet feels it with the fuel bill...:o :pac:

Same reason I could pick up my e60 for so little, 8 years old at the time and because of the massive tax they were literally about €5k cheaper than the 2 litre equal in every other way.
It'd take a lot of tax to close that gap!

She just teaches out there, it isn't ideal, but the way things are with teachers (especially PE) finding positions, we can't complain really. The new house, which we'll be in next month, is slightly closer, thankfully.

I was working near Coolock recently, St Doulagh's Church in Malahide. I wanted to see the TT close by in Darndale at the time that I was talking with you about.

Yep I'm from darndale myself, never seen that tt around the place though ever..

St dhoulags Church is stunning I used to play there a lot as a child hiding in the secret ancient holy well and monks underground meditation rooms, I still visit it a lot when I'm local and have time to kill..

Not my car but I still think this is a good place to share this.

Had this car come in today because the brakes felt spongy....

That caliper was seized (shock!) :-P Pads were down to the metal on the other side too.

Not my car, it belongs to a friend but it's what I'll be driving for the next while. I think TFB will like it :P Immaculate is not the word, I don't care if you're not into Toyotas you'll have to admit it's in crazy good condition. Could do with a quick wash and hoover.

Even though it's only 7 years older that the 166/Primera/Levin its from a different era. 1.3 12valve, single carb. No power steering or central locking. 5 speed 'box though :) What everyone should learn to drive in really!

Somewhat, It's mostly being held with the handbrake. The handbrake isn't amazing though and I always like a car to be secured in 2 ways anyway :) The pictures don't really show it but it's quite a steep hill.

Almist bizzare at this stage to see one still being daily driven and in good condition. I had a mustard 92 5dr myself a good few years ago. Be kind to it :-P

I must admit, I have a soft spot for things like that. I spend my youth in those Starlets and old Carina IIs. That one looks particularly very clean, probably a future classic if it is kept looking like that!

    I'll be kind, don't worry :)

The red is usually lurking under the pink somewhere. Bit of polish always brings them back ;)

Was that starlet owned by a nun or something? Its average mileage is only about 4200 per year!
