Two chances someone is gonna pay €5.5k for it. Give it a few weeks, go have a looksee with a bag of €3.5k cash and if you like it, wave it in front of their face?

provided revenue dont bankrupt me with the form 11 at the end of the month I might just do that.

Don't they often wait until the sale, saying "car will come with new NCT"

Aye. They (lazy dealers) often do :)

in order to give a full 12 month NCT?

    Doesn't work like that.

Never has and the changes to the NCT from last July made no difference. The car in question was due 28/08/2014. If they got it tested on that date, it will have a 12 month test. If they get it tested on 28/10/2014 it will only have a 10 month test (both until 28/08/15)

We could debate whether a CLS is truly a barge but I don't care as I want it!

This thread is littered with 7 series and S Class mercs so why not a CLS ?
They are very much at home here if you ask me

I guess a combo of the size and orientation. It's based on an E class rather than an S and has less rear room than an E - sports seats and a tightly raked roof. Definitely luck but the luxo is in the front. It's a sports saloon based on a family size car rather than the floaty extra long barge type (speaking as a 750Li owner). I'd love it and think it'd be great to drive.

You just pointed out the only 2 drawbacks. Also, 20 mpg would probably be on a really good day. And why buy a big V8 and drive around like a sissy

    So true!

It's a DAMN nice car though... (this thread has a limit of €5000 I thought?!)

I am getting real world 11.1L/100km (about 25mpg) out of my 3.7L V6.... and that's driving it like a sissy 95% of the time..

To be fair it says 5 previous owners in the ad. I would consider that high in a car of that age...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,502 ✭✭✭ofcork

And with only 48k miles on the clock something gives.

Those details should be more cpmplete:

    Transferred to an idividual: 25/09/2014
    Date Notified: 01/10/2014
    Cert issued 03/10/2014

Wife found out about it 05/10/2014

Transferred to an idividual: 10/10/2014, etc. etc. :D:D:D

    Probably explains the many owners.

high number of owners could be down to avoiding tax arrears. Tax costs a bit on one these....

Good point - one family could have used 3 or 4 menbers as new owners. Low miles would worry me though.

I know it's taxed until May next year but the asking is a bit hefty IMO, even with the LPG.

    NCT March 12, 2015

And I'm not convinced the car is taxed at all...

On a closer look they are definitely not E65 seats through the window either..

What's with the clock cluster? That picture isn't even from a BMW let alone an E65.

Anyone interested in it want to find out for us?

NCT on that BMW valid till March, no tax.

    That is an extortionate price!

Could be a genuine mistake as they do state that the NCT is due in March on the ad, could have mixed up the pics, well, did mix them up.
