I went to school in Trim. It used to be a really nice, quiet, picturesque and historic town but in the last 10-12 years it's been filled with a lot of people that were run out of certain areas of Dublin, similar to Navan and it's suffered for it. Now the kind of town where the kids think nothing of throwing a rock at a teachers head. (Not joking, happened twice in 2 years when I was in school)

But you were trying to throw it OVER the teacher, weren't you??? :P

Just back now, I stopped off at tyreland on the way back to get the rears, turns out the guy that works there has a JZX Chaser too. The sound is much better now, it was unbelievably quiet before even Micras were putting my car to shame, I went with a twin tip exhaust like the ones on 6 cylinder BMW cars as I thought that was sensible and not too boy racer...but then they said you can get one size bigger and of coarse...I did:o

Ugh...motor tax notification email....now to decide how much to pay. Part of me wants to pay for 6 months just to cover my ass since I have the cash...or even the full whack. But it's madness having that much on the windscreen...hmmmm

There's no real financial benefit for paying 6 months at a time, so I always pay 3 months. At least if anything happens, you're not going to lose out on too much tax.
Then you also have the benefit as you say of not having a grand on the windscreen, it's good for the cash flow too.

I am NEVER ever touching a broker again. Rang them over an hour ago to do a simple transfer for a week, and they still haven't gotten back to me to confirm it's done

Very true, they were needed during the harsh 2010/2011ish winter by right but even then I got on grand without them!

You don't need winter tyres for a couple of mild wet months!

Yep the AA can say what they want, Winter tyres may not be needed but they sure help in cold wet conditions.
I just bought a set from Oponeo, for 195/65/15 Continental Wintercontact TS850 €64 ea.
Why would you not run Winters when they are that cheap?
One slide could cost a lot more than a set of tyres IMO.
Loss of NCB, Possible liability etc etc.

had a nice suprise driving down the ashbourne swords backroad the other day- myself and 1 other car got stuck behind a tractor and he actually pulled in to let us pass at the first chance he got and he pulled out again on his way. i gave him the hazard lights and a big thank you salute wave:D

Well, here is the exhaust, not the loudest but it is a big improvement over what I had. I attached a video for the sound. To be honest it is a bit ridicules in size as I was worried the one I originally wanted might be lost on a car as big as the Chaser but it is hard to know what way it will look when fully finished.
