Some finish to that match. Probably for the best for Rangers though, they've coasted through the last two seasons, a challenge will do them much more good than another year coasting through a lower division.

They will do very well to get promoted this season. McCoist hasnt a clue what he is doing

McCoist using Greens statement as an excuse saying one or two players asked about the timing etc. before the game

Rangers really need a better manager although I would say paying him off is the problem. They'll be shot of him the minute it's financially able

The way things are going, he will just run out his contract as they have no money

I'm delighted they've stuck with Ally throughout the lower leagues. A decent manager would have transformed the club from top to bottom and publicly questioned some of the decisions made by the board.

Ally is tactically clueless and will keep giving bland sound bytes every week as long as his wages keep rolling in.

Well Rangers take Clyde on in the stupidly named cup. So wee Barry is back at Ibrox as Clude manager. With 39 min gone Rangers are two up through Boyd and Aird. Add to the mix a crowd of 10k maximum andClyde wearing an almost luminous pink strip it is all very surreal

Boyd scores his second after a nice bit of play to make it 3-0

McCulloch makes it four with a nice shot from the edge if the box

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,704 ✭✭✭Broxi_Bear_Eire

Make that five MacLeod with a belter from outside the box

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,704 ✭✭✭Broxi_Bear_Eire

MacLeod gets his second and Rangers sixth with another good finish

And McCulloch gets his second making it 7-0 with a great turn and strike from outside the box.

Boyd gets his hat trick after a good run from Templeton giving Boyd an easy finish. 8-0

Big score. Is that the first actual record the club has broken?

Going by the pictures of the game they might also have been involved in the first challenge cup game to have more goals than spectators.

Lol my boys wear there tops here as a matter of course. Must admit it is funny when strangers to the area do a double take when they see them. But also in my travels about the country I have spotted a few of our tops it's good to see.

I find the change in Gazza's appearance very disturbing, I wouldnt have recognized him only for the captions tbh. I hope he gets the help he desperately needs

haha he was only a kid so hopefully its just a phase.

Edit: its sad to see gazza like that but at this stage he clearly doesnt want to be helped, hes had so many opportunities and blew them all. However opposing fans may have hated him in his heyday its sad to see someone fall to pieces like that especially in the full gaze of rags like the sun

I know what you and Dempsey are saying and to an extent I agree. As a footballer he was a legend to me as a man not so much. I hope he gets help but as you say it will be pointless he has had help on numerous occasions only to throw it back in people's faces. I fear he is to far down the self destruct path now.

Don't see what the problem is. They could do with the extra quid.

Yup to be honest for the first time in fifty five years of supporting Rangers and I mean from a very young age going home and away right up until I moved back here when circumstances made it more difficult but I still managed 15/20 games a year. Been all over Europe including Barca 72.
I am loosing heart we have been fecked always and still are I really worry for our future now

If it was a mega money deal like he did with St.James's Park it probably wouldn't look as bad. Charles Green is some laugh!

Scottish Football's rules around club ownership arent fit for purpose. Thats a shocking deal to give anyone no matter the circumstances and Scottish Football should be hammering people that pull stunts like that.
