Big Jon Daly won the Sam English Bowl award this season, would of liked to see him get more goals but a great return for him regardless of the league.

How is he perceived by the fans? Read an interview with him that he loves it there.

Linked with Miller and Boyd for next season, might see him get fewer games but be great if hes there till you get back to the SPL. The rangers version of Shaun goater!!(im a city fan!).

He is loved my about the vast majority of fans unfortunately there are still Dinosaurs among our support. He was great up until January but a couple of things worked against him the main one being how Ally set the team up. It was totally wrong for his type of play. It was clear as the season went on he needed dropped for his own sake but no McCoist couldn't manage a pub

Daly started fantastically, banging them in non stop.

The last few months though he's been pretty bad, then again McCoist decides to play him every single game, the guy's absolutely knackered.

On the brink of administration and still flirting with relatively big money signings.....must be season ticket renewal time

Season tickets are not being renewed at a great rate. Miller has already stated he would rake low wages don't know about Boyd but we have to remember they haven't signed yet.

To continue on from the Hibs thread. Does this put pressure on the fans who have been holding back to buy tickets with the risk being the board cut back expenditure and the club stagnates in the Championship?

Or does the Championship potentially become more lucrative for a year or two, Hibs, Hearts, Rangers & Falkirk

I believe it might, but I still think the uptake on season tickets will see a significant drop.

Re post above. Thought this was a nice (and very sad) story. Looks like a good few Rangers fans got behind a fundraising game for Fernando Ricksen who has Motor Neurone Disease. Officially a horrible fukcer of a disease. For all the bad associated with both sides of old firm, both have unwavering loyalty to most of their former players. Credit to the club.

Kenny Miller completes medical at Murray park :o

Not really jumping with joy over this the only thing I am hoping for is he passes on his knowledge and professionalism to the younger players

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

    ****ing hell.

He may still score a lot in the Championship, but it shows 0 will of the club to invest in youth.

At least he's not on that much money.

Third kit released, quite like that.
Too bad I haven't bought a football top for more than 10 years :p
And won't get that as long as the current board is in charge.

Well that's the fixture list out for the coming season though no doubt many will be changed to suit TV coverage. Probably with the first one as well. Which is an interesting game against Hearts at Ibrox on the 9th August at the moment

Boyd and Miller back, does this mean end of the road for Daly? One things for sure you won't be short of goals next season.

Also Boyd shown on bbc pictures as number 15, are squad numbers back in next season? Have they been released yet?

Good move bringing Boyd and Miller back in tbh, they should both be able to score a good few in the Championship, especially Boyd. Big loss to Killie.

Could have moved to Aberdeen but decided to drop a level for money. Bit of a waste really.

Signing Miller & Boyd is an epic PR stunt to get consumer & investor confidence back in the face of uncertainty. Unfortunately for Scottish Football, the wrong people get to hang on for a little longer.

I'm amazed that given all that's gone on that Rangers fans would buy into the idea of signing two lads who offer nothing for the future and cost relatively big money.

Of course they will tear up the championship but so would the strikers there or a couple of talented youngsters.

I really can't get my head around how happy some fans are, very short memories

Why they still aren't buying season tickets in the numbers needed. You really are out of touch as far as lower divisions go the Championship will certainly be more competitive the the Premiership this year that is the reason we have Doncaster wanting the championship TV contracts rewritten. The vast majority of fans still want this board out,but how to do it is the problem. The fans don't buy season tickets the board do a share issue that only the shareholders in place can buy so they tighten control of the club even further. Out of all the Rangers fans I know personally only one has renewed a few say they will go game by game or to away games the rest won't set foot in Ibrox as I won't while we have the status quo.

No Daly will a part of things this season but mainly from the bench or a CB role. His knees are done in all honesty. As far as all the squad numbers go I imagine they will be fully released this week as our pre-season friendly's start then

    Uh oh, more trouble.

The significance of RFC statement to the LSE this evening - admitting incorrect accounts - should not be underestimated.

    Statement by Rangers:

    Rangers International Football Club plc
("Rangers" the "Club" or the "Company")

Statement re: Annual results for the 13 month period ended 30 June 2013

The Directors confirm that following the issue of shares announced on 1 July 2014 pursuant to the exercise of options by a former Director, there are now no outstanding share options or convertible shares held within the Group. The Directors note that Note 30 to the accounts for the 13 month period ended 30 June 2013 was incorrect to the extent that the options to which the share announcement on 1 July 2014 relate were not included.

Anyone notice this in the statement?

    Rangers International Football Club plc
("Rangers" the "Club" or the "Company")

...and here's me thinking the club and company were two different entities.

The current board lied to shareholders again ? Shocking.

What upsets me more is that nothing will come of this, if this was for example a huge company who consistently fed their shareholders lie after lie all hell would break loose.

In Scotland you have Keith Jackson talking about it, that's all.

edit: Maybe you should post Jackson's tweet that kicked it all off again:

@tedermeatballs: I was savaged for saying the BTC was a red herring where the demise of RFC was concerned. I hear we'll find out very soon if i was right.

But you've gone bankrupt, kicked out of league, set up a Phoenix company with a new club all whilst waiting on the final decision on the Big Tax Case.

So Keith Jackson is right, "the BTC was a red herring where the demise of RFC was concerned."

Good to see that at last you agree that this new iteration of Rangers has the same backing from the media.

So now you're complaining that you're not being punished! The joys of being the establishment's club!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

I'm not saying 'Please punish us', I'm saying that apparently people can rape and pillage a club, lying to the stock exchange,... and nothing happens from a judicial point of view.
If anyone should be punished it's the current and previous board.

As for talking about the media protecting us... From what exactly ?
Or do you genuinely believe there is some big establishment out there to protect Rangers from bad news ?
****ty job they're doing so far.

I don't believe the media are protecting Rangers, I believe they are protecting their own interests.

The Rangers support haven't historically reacted well to negative reporting. Numerous threats/abuse of journalists and boycotts prove this.

For a journalist, it's far less hassle to report on the Motherwell born billionaires, war chests, floating casino stadiums and succulent lamb then it is on EBTs, financial mismanagement and the like. From a revenue perspective, it probably makes far more sense too, least you be labeled as part of the mhedia etc, and alienate a significant portion of your readership

Amateur internet bampots knew what was going on for years at Rangers FC RIP before the media reported on it. This isn't my opinion, this is a matter of record.

Really Dempsey so you go on and on about the fans taking action which I would take as boycotting Ibrox so now it may happen your going to hammer us about it. Oh the Irony
