I stand corrected then, but it's also pretty clear that it was partly done as a response towards the police, probably thought they scored a massive victory

Nothing else untoward was sung all game.

    Ahhhhhhh is that what happened?

    Well that's okay then.

And yet, something Rangers fans i.e. the very people in question here are very adamant about in the complete opposite.

Don't be such a coward as to suggest Rangers fans do not mean Catholics when they say Fenian, or at the very least, Irish Catholics.

What a load of bull****, every Rangers fan I know knows perfectly well that a Fenian does not equal a Catholic, and that in general it's also not aimed at Catholics as a whole.

I don't care if you don't believe it, it's a fact so do with it what you want.

Every few months it's always the same with you lot, the only difference is it's sometimes different people.

'It's pure anti-Catholicism so it is and I'm very, very upset!'

Do you have nothing else to talk about ?

The definition of sweeping under the rug there.

Sorry if the main topic of conversation with your club seems to always be bigotry. We're not allowed laugh at your lower league misery.

Nonsense, the up to our knees crowd are bigots pure and simple. Defending them is an act of cowardice pure and simple.

I'm not a catholic myself so im not sure why you directed that at me.

To be honest the reason people won't let these things drop is the ridiculous attempts to deflect/deny/blame others by yourself mainly and one or two others

When the steam stops coming out of your ears you can look back and check yourself.

No steam as I knew it wasn't me but considering the only one I can think of has been banned for at least a year. No offense but it seems to me if you are going to make accusations at least back them up

Livi editor steps down from his post after pressure from "the people" who don't want the truth being put in print. From the looks of certain sites and Twitter they aren't happy with just this.

Seen some of them saying they have emailed his employers etc. and want the board to sue him. Laughable. Would love them to open that particular pandoras box.

It's a disgusting, vile and weird song/chant. Celtic fans have got into trouble singing pro IRA songs etc., but none of those songs have words in it like the billy boys song.

Earlier you said, you don't know why they sang it when they were confronted by the cops, but they sang it automatically as they got roused up. Stop making excuses for them by deflecting onto what Celtic fans sing or what Celtic some players have sung.

Doesnt answer the question, does it?

This smacks of a witchhunt by people that dont want to be reminded of certain aspects of their past. It wouldnt surprise me if they go down the route of the right to be forgotten in a while.

It does answer the question you want to take over old ashes about stuff you know Rangers fans will always disagree with you on. Your not getting your fun in here so enjoy

Hmmm, I didnt see any lies in what I saw in that program. Pretty sure I can google many articles from reliable sources that would back up what was said. You mean that Rangers fans would disagree because they dont like that version of the truth. Pity about ye! :pac:

Everything he said was factually correct though.

Whether or not it was factually correct is a different matter. The pressing issue (pardon the pun) is does he deserve to lose his job just because Scotland's favourite angry mob were spewing their rage yet again? Ally McCoist knew the same as that EveningTimes journalist - just drop a name and let the hordes do the rest.

Who had to resign and why? Can someone fill me in here, I haven't been following what's happening with The Rangers recently.

The guy who printed in the Livingston program about Rangers being a new club.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 974 ✭✭✭Intifada

Maybe a bad example to use right now as he's not exactly popular these days, but why didn't Ra People spew their vitriol at Charles Green and demand he be sacked when he admitted the club would die if the CVA didn't go through?

There's some irony in these being the same lowlifes that have spend decades trying to smear the name of Scotland's greatest ever manager with a campaign of lies about their favourite subject of child abuse.

Editor of the Livingston programme told the truth about "The Rangers" and the hordes went ballistic. He was named in the media in Scotland and was hounded out of his role as editor of the programme. Some fans of "The Rangers" have also emailed/phoned his employers to try to get him sacked from his job too. Allegedly the board of "The Rangers" have also complained to the SPFL.

Considering if what he said was untrue, it would be damaging to the brand etc. you would think with so much outrage that they would take him to court for slander etc to put an end to this talk.

It's almost as if they don't want a proper legal explanation of incorporation and liquidation putting a line under the whole episode.

    I wonder why???

Oh was that the root cause of the trouble at Livingston on Saturday, the rage spilled out on to the terraces?

I'd have my doubts as to whether people who engage in that sort of behaviour are able to read.

Even if what he said was untrue, it is a reaction that would leave any other club in the world mortified. Time and time again they react like this when anything doesn't go their way. Why?

You lot are absolutely ridiculous :D
    Get a life.

    edit:
Btw, the idiot at Livingston wasn't fired, he resigned without being forced to do so.
The guy's twitter is full of bigotry, so no real loss.
