I just picked up mine from Parnell St. Last one in the shop*... be warned, they're selling quick!

*might be more in the back, worth checking!

I was going to thank you for saving me the walk up, but now I'll have to go anyway just in case :D

It was Santry Avenue that said they didn't have any delivered, btw. The customer care line had zero information on who might have them in stock.

There was an "opened" one on the floor (as is the norm in Lidl/Aldi for some reason), which I didn't really count. So if they really don't have anymore in stock I'm sure that will be grand!

I've noticed this. Is is that customers open them to check quality before buying and then leave the opened box and pick up a closed box?

They had a stack of them in Aldi in Clonee as of 15 mins ago. I had a look but I passed - the way that you use the Nespresso pods is by way of an adapter which goes into the handle. I heard that similar compatible systems that use this approach in Australia have stopped working as Nestle have done a minor redesign of their pods to stop compatibility. I am sure if you had any problems that Aldi would take it back though, but I decided to pass on it.

hmm good to know, I'll nab a few from work and try them out this eve

Muchas gracias for the info, they had one left on the shelf and two opened ones, which looked fine to be honest. They weren't knocked around or anything so if anyone's up that way, still a couple in Parnell St as of about twenty minutes ago.

I just checked there with a Nespresso pod (latest redesign as these were delivered yesterday) and it appears to fit in fine.

Seems you need to push the pod into jagged points at the bottom of the filter so the bottom of the pod is cut open a little.

As to how similar it tastes to a real Nespresso machine, I'll find out this eve.

Ok, I just fired her up. No major explosions so far! Nice cup of coffee. Might have been a little too much in the way of bubbles on top but it was probably due to the coffee I put in it.

I bought the last one on parnells street. Box was opened and it has the machine and a handle. No instructions or anything else. What else was in the package?

One of the inserts was already in the handle and the other 2 inserts + plastic spoon was in the water tank. Other than that just a small instruction book.

The instruction book should be online somewhere, although I wasn't able to find it.

Was the machine wrapped in a plastic bag, and a cardboard insert containing the handle? If so it's likely you have everything.

Instructions were loosely positioned on top so might just have fallen out.

NOTE: a 3 Year Warranty form was included in the instructions. I've never had to fill in a warranty form before to qualify for the 3 year warranty from ALDI, but perhaps required for this?

Machine was wrapped on plastics and but handle was not in a cardboard but included. I talked to manager and probably I can sort it if something critical is missing. I will hunt the instructions when I get home.

Were the other bits in the water tank at the back of the machine?

Got one first thing this morning and using a really good coffee they are .......brilliant. Taste is good and smooth, nothing cept coffee in the cup. Easy to clean both before (first use) and after. Frother/warmer works well and drip tray is a reasonable size. Water tank big and removable for filling. Just a great buy, enjoy and sorry if you didn't get one this time but you will want one next time. Didn't get to use a pod or filter yet but it looks straightforward. The coffee holder is just like the movies, you put it in and twist. Seems an iffy fit but no leaks.

I wasn't able to find manual for the thing. I sent email for support number but don't know if they reply.

While searching the manual I found several "clone" machines on sale. Prices were ~175 - 200 usd so I guess we got pretty good bargain here.

Got one in Nutgrove earlier, about 10 or so left.

Can you figure it out without a manual?

I'll scan my instruction manual and send it if you like. Straightforward enough but I would want it myself.

Is the steam wand any use, previous version was a noisy decoration.

I'll let you know if I don't get manual through support. I would really appreciate to have some kind of manual as I am noob for this kind of machines. :)
