What do you utd fans expect when they put up posts like that trolling liverpool fans.

He was a bit overzealous with his assessment of the two squads but his point was that Liverpool are a far far superior unit than United whereas player for player, United have better individuals. If you were picking a fantasy team you'd probably end up 7/4 in United's favour but picking the better TEAM this season is obvious.

He wasn't doing it to troll LFC fans he was doing it in his own thread. Thats when the lurkers became evident..

Will Kagawa start tomorrow night lads?

I hope he does, but doubt he will.

How is it trolling to say that he thinks United have better players than Liverpool? I'd almost agree with his point and at this time just 12 months ago it would basically be an RVP v Suarez discussion.

    I'm thinking he will, Kew.
    Valencia - Kagawa - Welbeck
    Rooney

With Rooney dropping to 10 and Kagawa going left occasionally as Welbeck makes runs behind.

I think Giggs is getting a look in at some stage be it CM or ACM so hopefully he goes with Giggs early in the game again to feel it out then Bring on Kagawa 1/2 time and go for the jugular.

do you honestly believe that jones and evans is a CD partnership that'll form the basis for a premiership and CL winning squad?

Am I the only one that thinks that Evans is probably our best CB at the moment?

And 'The Cannibal' wouldn't make the United team.

    I don't think it's offensive. It's hilarious.

I think he will, left side of a midfield trio with Carrick and Flether there if Fellani is out.

Welbeck and Valencia on the wings, with Rooney up top.

The back 4 could be anything at this stage. I'd be expecting Rio and Vidic at CB, if Rafael is injured.

I just have to say that in the midst of all this bickering and outrageous claims, this post is the worst of them all. 2/10 sir. Poor show.

Would not mind that. I can see why Valencia is starting these games fro defensive viewpoint

Ya Giggs might start. Be interesting cause team selection will be huge and will tell a lot.

Don't think it was ever stated that Suarez wouldn't make United's team. I think it's fairly obvious to everyone that he'd make any team at the moment.

True dat. Mind you last time out the selection was largely slated and he got it fairly spot on imo.

I hope he will. I'd like to see a front 4 of:
    Valencia - Kagawa - Welbeck
    Rooney

Welbeck and Valencia have the energy to track back, and Rooney up front will be more composed than Welbeck in the event of a quick counter attack.

no - i think evans is a far superior player than jones or smalling
but unfortunately he is made of brittle glass
seems a little lazy and needs more aggression too
but the other too lads are just squad players imo

No more brittle than the other CBs at the club for the last few seasons. Had one long term injury this season, Smalling and Jones pick up a lot more smaller knocks that keep them out for a couple of games.

I'd have him 1st choice with a new signing next season, and have Smalling and Jones as backup.

I quite liked the setup last week, Rooney covering out wide for Kagawa when he came inside and not just rigidly sticking to his position which is one of my main complaints about him anywhere other than the main striker. Rooney and Kagawa interchanging with Welbeck up top chasing everything down is the best option imo, Welbeck is basically United's Muller, always does the business in the big games (though Muller wasn't good last week he normally is).

Wow, did somebody seriously say they think their team is better than another team? And they did this in their teams superthread?

That's just not on lads. I'm all for a bit of banter but ye just go too far sometimes.

Just on Smalling. I think if he got proper run at CB he be seen in different light to many.

Him playing at RB seems to have him down the ranks, which is unfair. He is poor at RB, but a very good CB, which is his prime position at end of day.

I would totally agree with you, very confident on the ball. Funnily enough, I think heading is the weakest part of his game, which is strange for a player that is over 6ft3".

Himself and Evans are very similar players, a lot like Rio, good with ball at their feet. Jones is like Vidic, throws himself into everything.

I think if we do sign a new CB, their partner at the back will depend a lot on what type of player they are.

He's disappointed me a bit at CB the last few times he's played there, his ball control has gone to shít but that may just be a confidence thing more than anything.

A big part of the Rooney problem at 10 is that he thinks not being 9 gives him carte blanche to run all over the pitch when it invariably doesn't go well.

He's frequently lauded for turning up at left back putting in tackles despite the fact that it points to a complete systems failure for the shape of the team who are now utterly without a creative pivot when he wins the ball back.

Having him switch with someone who understands that you need to have a central out ball when you win the ball back under pressure can only be a good thing.
