Shure why not go for Messi and Ronaldo too.

Anyway, Robbie Savage has changed his mind and said it's time for Moyes to go.

It's pretty bad when it's hard to find reasons that Robbie Savage is wrong!

    Tier 1 - Pep & Jose
Tier 2 - Klopp, Ancellotti, Hiddink
Tier 3 - Pellegrini, Martin O'Neill, Larry White, Capello
Tier 4 - Brendan Rodgers, Wenger, AVB, Conte, Rafa
Tier 5 - Big Sam, Chris Hughton
Tier 6 - Moyes, Pat Fenlon, Roy Evans, Brian Kidd, Christian Gross

Where's Van Gaal, Simeone and De Boer?

Also, Martin O' Neill and Blanc over Wenger....lol. Rodgers should be higher too and Rafa should be higher

    That's absolutely pathetic tbh.

Will they be allowed to do it?

The only aircraft I've ever seen fly above Old Trafford during a match has been a police helicopter.

IT wouldn't surprise me if there are restrictions on low-flying aircraft near the stadium on match day.

Hopefully Moyes can be gone soon. He is an upmarket tony pulis

I dont think it is, anything that can help to get rid of Moyes is okay with me

Savage says what so many others have said this season, they like the man and want him to succeed. Moyes is a nice man, but you wouldn't get the job as CEO of Microsoft or Apple by being nice, you have to be ruthless. Ruthlessness is one of the reasons the club are where they are today, in the top 3 in the world in revenue as far as I know, losing that now and having the spearhead of the organisation coming out with lines like "we'll try our best", "Liverpool are favourites", "we were unlucky" is making us become even more blunt by the day and an actual collapse could be forecasted.

So what reasons could it be other than Moyes? Well if the board and ex players are backing him into next season, could there be a case for the players actually not being good enough? That's all I can take from that, this team who won the league last year are good enough only for 7th place, people say everything is possible in football but that doesn't make sense to me. "More time" isn't a reason, there's no way he's leading us to 7th place and going out of every competition with a whimper and more time is the answer.

So the owners, the board and the ex players might actually think signings are the answer, on the board's case their decision on the 11th of May will have long term implications. Stick with the man and give him 200m, no champions league next season and we might be screwed.

It shouldn't be left up to the fans to be calling for his head, everyone who put Moyes in should be big enough to admit that it hasn't worked out and be taking steps to correct the situation.

But it looks like they ain't big enough so hopefully this is the nearing of the end for Moyes at United I very much look forward to the ending of this totally forgettable time.

Also just looking at the sef twitter, they are still coming out with "ah sure we'll have to ask the ones who chipped in for the flag do they want it taken down" f**king hell it's what now 2 weeks? down the road from when it all really kicked off about that flag, surely they have talked to some of them by now. Whiter then white attitude annoying.

Why is Moyes always praising the players. He needs to be firm at times and say when he thinks players have not been good enough

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 366 ✭✭Juan_Mata

I'm hoping Moyes is kept on. 2 seasons at least. Champions league is a must next season. I don't think it'll be as challenging next season. Arsenal had an excellent first half, Everton will lose Lukaku and Deolefeu. Liverpool will have Europe to contend with and their squad is pretty small.

Moyes has earned this chance so at least give him a proper go at it. We could be sorted for a long time if it works out.

I'd rather chance going another season without champions league to see if Moyes can bring us to the top than switch manager who might get us champs league next season but might leave in 2 years or so.

Scared, I am guessing. Already looking to have lost the players, imagine how they would be if the tried talking bad about publicly.

He's earned sweet FA. Another season with Moyes is catastrophic. 9 months in and he's stamped nothing on a team of champions. He's not able to get the best out of the players, throwing 200m at a problem isn't gonna solve it cause those players won't play for him either. Stop burying your head under the sand and hoping it'll all fix itself. It won't as long as Moyes remains in charge.

Its a Golden Rule never to say a bad word about your players in public.

You do that with the door closed shut.

Cant beat Moyes with a stick for that.

It's going to be an embarrassment watching the game and the camera panning to a plane and banner with that written on it.

    Really is.

The players who won the league last season, the best of them isn't good enough anymore. Evra, Carrick, Rio, RVP. All getting old. With the exception of RVP who still has something to offer the others 'best' wouldn't get them in the top 6 teams imo.

As long as Moyes is our manager I'm gonna support him. The board can decide if they want to sack Moyes but until that I am in agreement with them and am going to support him. Asking for his head solves nothing, only adding pressure to the already huge task he had.

The board will act on results on the pitch, not people shouting for him to be sacked.

I don't get the objection tbh. It's no more cringey than the banner that's already up.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and the "Moyes Out" banner will be no more "pathetic" or whatever than "The Chosen One" banner. And being honest, I'm personally glad that the Anti-Moyes side is getting plenty of publicity out of it.

You know clubs are allowed to bring players in during a transfer window, right?

Jesus by all means boo Moyes, bring signs into the stadium or whatever. But a ****ing plane? Its farcical. Can imagine it being an old fashioned Bi-Plane and turning into some sort of quasi-episode of the Three Stooges or something.

No I didn't. Thanks for telling me.

Everton won't get someone better than Lukaku. It'll be that Traore lad up front next season.

    Deolefeu is also excellent.

Liverpool would be signing players in the summer anyways but they'll need a good few to balance both competitions. They'll also need to get some great results as their seeding is terrible. I don't think they'll make top 4 next season.

Chosen one banner was put in place in support of a new manager and Manchester United.

A Moyes out banner hitched to a plane, in March, that could be paid for by anyone and is not designed to support the team is just embarrassing.

I want Moyes out and an appropriate manager brought in, but this plane idea initiates a facepalm with me for so many reasons. Thought we were better than that as a fan-base (apart from the few eejits that every club has following them).

So you think Liverpool won't make top 4 next season but us, with Moyes in charge, will? I know we can't predict the future, but I'd happily wager that you'll be wrong.

Moyes doesn't know positive football and has never had control of the dressing room. He bought Chelsea's POTY for the previous 2 seasons and doesn't know how to use him. We've been demolished in every derby. Broken numerous negative records. All with a squad that, this time last year, was strolling to the league title. Bayern could well inflict a record European defeat on us. He has no business being United manager and hopefully the board realise this in the Summer and write it off as a massive brainfart by them and Ferguson.

With the way the season is going the plane probably wont start anyway :)

Not a fan of the idea tbh has to be a better way of getting the message across.

It's actually happening? We've been brought to flying a ****ing plane over the stadium with a banner.

Believe me, I want Moyes gone as quickly as the next man but use your voice from inside the stadium. Those in charge won't bat an eyelid at this and it only makes us look even more of a shambles. Remember the piss take when City were using billboards for their 'Welcome to Manchester' for Tevez? This is on par with that. Actually no it's worse, because it's not even a dig at our rivals.

Edit: just seen this from Red Issue: "To clarify: Red Issue has nothing to do with any plans for any banner, Moyes-related or otherwise."
