I'm hoping Moyes is kept on. 2 seasons at least. Champions league is a must next season. I don't think it'll be as challenging next season. Arsenal had an excellent first half, Everton will lose Lukaku and Deolefeu. Liverpool will have Europe to contend with and their squad is pretty small.

Moyes has earned this chance so at least give him a proper go at it. We could be sorted for a long time if it works out.

I'd rather chance going another season without champions league to see if Moyes can bring us to the top than switch manager who might get us champs league next season but might leave in 2 years or so.

Finally got your access flahavaj ;)
Afraid to say I've jumped the fence since we last talked, just can't take the chance of another season like this or it could be a long road back, I did really want it to work out for many reasons but it doesn't look likely now. There is no way back when you lose the dressing room and I firmly believe that is what has happened.

The players who won the league last season, the best of them isn't good enough anymore. Evra, Carrick, Rio, RVP. All getting old. With the exception of RVP who still has something to offer the others 'best' wouldn't get them in the top 6 teams imo.

As long as Moyes is our manager I'm gonna support him. The board can decide if they want to sack Moyes but until that I am in agreement with them and am going to support him. Asking for his head solves nothing, only adding pressure to the already huge task he had.

The board will act on results on the pitch, not people shouting for him to be sacked.

This players getting old bollix does my nut in. They win the fcukin league last year at a canter. Then three months later they are all to fragile to get around the pitch?

Utd has a huge squad. Moyes just needed to manage that squad better. Don't okay Rio for six or eight games on the trot and burn him out. Don't play a half fit RVP and cause him to miss half the season. Buy a left back to challenge a fading Evra instead if playing him 40 times this season. Or play one of Buttner or Da Silva in games against the lesser lights. Same deal with Carrick. We ve loads of midfield players. Use them. Or better still buy better. Don't blow 27m on a mid table work horse and another 35 on a number 10 we don't really need. Irrespective of how good he is we had bigger issues to solve.

    Jesus wept.

Everton won't get someone better than Lukaku. It'll be that Traore lad up front next season.

    Deolefeu is also excellent.

Liverpool would be signing players in the summer anyways but they'll need a good few to balance both competitions. They'll also need to get some great results as their seeding is terrible. I don't think they'll make top 4 next season.

How many games has that Spanish kid played this season?

They're probably contemplating a whip around for an RPG in the Liverpool thread after hearing about this plan

Chosen one banner was put in place in support of a new manager and Manchester United.

A Moyes out banner hitched to a plane, in March, that could be paid for by anyone and is not designed to support the team is just embarrassing.

It's not supporting the manager, but to me, the fact someone has gone to the time and effort to organise something like this shows support for the team. But then this idea that it's seemingly impossible to support the team without supporting the manager continues to be branded around.

A banner inside the stadium will do very little. The plane idea will generate far more publicity, and already has, and that's not a bad thing. A banner inside the stadium will likely get lost in the massive crowd.

Personally, I'm hoping the cameras are trained and ready; a sign that some fans are sick of what Moyes is doing is needed, and the fact we're discussing it shows this plan is working.

The "Chosen One" banner has become a focal point for how the fans are sticking behind Moyes, and this will hopefully become a sign that there is discontent, and I personally disagree strongly that any attempt at voicing such an opinion should be seen as an embarrassment.

I know the guys in there, the site traffic they get from these are unreal . And you'd be surprised how many people throw a bet out of the traffic or better yet they sign customers up.

What we really need to do is get a load of celebrity fans (who's the United version of Jim "my arse" Royle?) telling Moyes to "do the decent thing" to a backing track of either kinky afro by the happy Mondays or heaven knows I'm miserable now by the smiths.

This.season has been bad, and our club is in a very precarious position, but we will never be as cringe worthy and self absorbed as Liverpool fans even if we spend the next 50 seasons in mid table, and I think the same would go for 99% of other clubs fans also.

Now if only we could put that in a banner of some kind ... maybe fly it over the stadium during a game.

Surely that would mean they would be out of Europe sooner and can concentrate on the league? Liverpool are in a much better position to challenge next season than we are right now.

    They dont need a plane.

Just have a ticket for South Stand and tell Moyes enough is enough.

Sneak in a banner f they like.

    Need no plane yall.

This is true but everyone of the match going reds seems to be reluctant to be the first one with a banner or to sing anti moyes songs. Not to mention an anti moyes banner means getting kicked out in all likelihood and probably having the season ticket suspended. It may be good that it provides a catalyst tbh and people start to voice discontent.
I don't get the objection tbh. It's no more cringey than the banner that's already up.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and the "Moyes Out" banner will be no more "pathetic" or whatever than "The Chosen One" banner. And being honest, I'm personally glad that the Anti-Moyes side is getting plenty of publicity out of it.

It was needed, i agree. It's kinda cringey but at least it's getting attention and it can stop being said that we're all behind him 100% because Old Trafford has a great atmosphere lately. Needs to be made clearer that we're supporting the team, not him and the board needs to get the message in particular as i'm getting the impression they're equating our good support this year as Moyes having the full backing of the fans. They need to know he's lost the fanbase, whatever the Stretford End Flags crowd and their own agenda would have you believe.

Is their anyway you can get betting on this anywhere? I would be very surprised if Liverpool were a shorter price than United for the top 4 next season.

We need this season to end ASAP, get Moyes out the door and really evaluate the club from top to bottom. Because there have been some farcical/embarrassing/disgraceful moments this season - from the season ticket holders being politely reminded after being smashed in Greece that they have to buy a return leg ticket to Moyes using words to the effect of aspiring to be like City.

I may dislike (putting it mildly) Liverpool and a part of their fanbase, but they haven't half gone about things the right way this season, PR wise and otherwise, and it starts with the likes of JW Henry.

This season has been horrific to say the least so we'll all be happy to see it end.

Liverpool have done well this season after they missed out (ahem) on the Europa league. They will need to keep the momentum going in.a.much busier season next term. But they are a big club who have been away from the top.a little too long to be fair, but their fans have no grounds to be abusing unites fans about getting touchy about their clubs misfortunes given their own fans chequered history in this regard.

I don't think they'll take all that much notice of the plane, they'll pass it off as being a minority of fans. The turning point will be Tuesday night and if Bayern beat us off the park (which is likely) then the fans will turn. Because just like European nights are the most special at OT, the fact that we could be the laughing stock of Europe on Wednesday morning will not sit well with the fans.

However, the unfortunate aspect of it is that those in the board have likely made up their mind that this season is a write off and as such will give him the biggest transfer kitty we've had in years in the summer.

Even if Bayern give us a hiding next week it can still be said that they did the same to Barcelona last season. No one is expecting a decent performance in that tie. It's just another defeat to a big club in a season of many such results. Sadly it won't result in. Moyes' sacking.

Yeah involved in the plane issue.

As regards the bigger picture the majority have lost faith in the manager though.

No one is expecting it alright but losing 3-0 or 4-0 at home without a fight will see the fans turn in a big way on the manager which may sway those above.

I'm praying for some kind of 0-0 home leg miracle followed by a 1-1 away. And then I'll fly over on my unicorn to the semi-final against Narnia who have got in through the back door system.

In that regard it hopefully starts bringing that to light. It's a bit cringey like i said but at least someones doing something. Saying nothing and breaking out the songbook every week won't achieve a lot, especially given that the consensus is that the board have been and are going to continue to be stubborn about keeping the clueless one in charge.
