Yup downloading really fast from PSN

.Wont get to try it till I get home from work, but I have been impressed with the reviews, I was expecting 70-80%'s across the board.

Started it downloading this morning, with MGS and FFX, so it should be ready to go when I get home.

Touchpad button been a massive disappointment aswell, I was actually under the impression on purchase it was a touchpad, as in could move my finger around it, but it just appears to be a button you press ?

It is a touch pad? Works okay for me? It can be helpful when games utilize it like an extra d-pad for loadouts etc.

Edit, yeah sessler seemed to find the game a bit boring, lacking in variety and that. Keep in mind he gave prototype and crackdown 2 a higher score, 4/5 each. Its all opinions.

Is that maybe a bit of an overreaction? It worked in Killzone and the console is still so young. I'd be annoyed if it pushed the price of the console up as a selling point and then was told it was draining system resources.

Not sure how you could be disappointed with the touchpad.

I guarantee it's going to be a standard control in FPS games. It's bloody perfect for switching weapons etc (as seen in Killzone)

Man... when I play TLOU and have to use the d-pad to switch item all I ever think is I wish I had the touchpad!

It works on a load of games, KZ, ACIV etc. as well as the Internet Browser and a few other apps.

you can use it to move the cursos on war thunder. i find it downright pathetic that it can be used to move the cursor on the browser. like come on sony..

It works exactly like a laptop touchpad, come on like. What do people think a touch pad is for, it's not a magic Apple iPhone.

i want my ps4 to be a media machine, not just game machine...i want .mkv playback, mp4 and every other file type!

I dont really need all that, my TV does it anyway, I doubt it will ever do MKV anyhow, since its the main format of piracy, yarrrrrr.....

Mkv and MP4 are format containers, like zip is a file container.

mkv doesn't come near mp4 as the king or piracy.

However both use h.264 as a compressor, which means both mp4 and mkv can have small file sizes and why they're so common in piracy given a full 720p bluray file can be only 700mb.

Plex will play both mkv and mp4 files over the PS4 browser so you can watch them via that for now.

Well i'd imagine the ads in the apps are not sonys doing and the app owners way of offering the app for free on the platform.

Playroom uses it

Rayman legends uses it

trine 2 uses it

NBA 2k14 uses it

ACIV: Black Flag uses it

I could go on....but it's getting plenty of use so far.

I want my PS4 to play games. Anything else is a bonus. Honestly I can't recall the last time I used a console as a media centre. I have a Blu-Ray player that I can play media files on, access Netflix, Hulu, etc.
