Have all of the list above worked on tipp fm I have never heard of a lot of them.
Having read through the thread there seems to be a couple of regular posters (not saying you're one) who are able to point out what's wrong with the local station. Now everyone is entitled to their opinion and criticism is fine but I think it should be constructive criticism. Also there is no need for sniping at individuals, and how they pronounce words etc.that's very immature.
So come on lads don't just tell us whats wrong give us your opinion on how it could be done better.
For my part I listen to tipp fm occasionally when I'm back home and find it enjoyable enough not perfect of course but what is.

Aaron Burchill is back on breakfast all this week that's a good start .

So does anyone on this thread have any constructive ideas on how to improve the local radio station or is it just a few keyboard warriors having a sneer at whatever they try to do.

I have no involvement with tipp fm only as a listener when I'm in tipperary. I find it ok as local stations go so Im curious why a couple of posters continually knock everything about it.

I admit I haven't read the whole thread but most of what I read was negative about the presenters and the station which as I said doesn't bother me but I would be interested to hear what posters actually want from a local station rather than continuous sniping at it which in my opinion serves no purpose.

you should read it all before you define opinion as sniping

Not necessary to read too much of it to form that opinion

I don't recall agreeing or disagreeing with anyone all I was hoping was to get some idea of what people would like changed on local radio.
The question seems to have rattled your cage so maybe you might like to tell us the changes you'd like to see.

I asked you a simple question why don't you answer it instead of hiding behind some silly excuse.

I'm not arguing the thread title is Local Radio and my original question was if anyone reading had any good ideas for improving the local station.

Mod Post: Final warning to WayneScott and dirtydan to pull in their horns.

If you two cannot chat without winding each other up, then I suggest that the pair of you give the other a wide berth.

I'm not going to be giving another inthread warning on this.

    About me

Aaron Burchael started off in radio in the 80's when he and a few friends set up a radio station CBC Radio in Lucan Co Dublin. Since then Aaron has worked for Cork's 96 & 103FM, Clare FM, WLR FM & he also spent 12 years (on & off) with Tipp FM where he presented the very popular Breakfast Bowl. When the station could not afford Aaron any more due to the downturn in the country Aaron along with another few friends set up Real Good Radio on the net. Our goal is to bring "REAL GOOD RADIO" around the world.

The above is Taken from his internet radio radio station site, which he set up after leaving Tipp FM.He says the station couldn't afford him,so he set up on his own.

Find it hard to believe they couldn't afford him . Would he not have taken a pay cut . Why walk away with no other job to go to ?
