I saw in the Weather forum they have new tags on the storm warning threads. Anyone following that lately might know they get a bit tetchy about them due to a few heads commenting the previous set were rather OTT, "Seek shelter" being one.

Anywho, I see the level 1 new one now is "Be Aware", but I haven't the courage the yet to ask whether Level 2 & 3 are "Be Afraid" & "Be Very Afraid".

I used to love listening to my dad and his mates in the pub talking about the weather years ago. It was stuff like the year of the big wind or the year of the big snow or the year the tom jim pats cows got washed away.

These continous storm and general ****e weather is making me despise farming. Its just mental weather for the last six weeks and it maks every job twice as hard

Ah sure if it was easy everyone would be doing it. It sure has cut down the time I'd intended to put in draining/wall building though. Not to mention the polytunnel.

100 kph winds sound much worse than 62 mph winds.
It drives me nuts listening to ****wit DJs on the radio talking Bollox about the weather, and the ****ers wouldn't know hardship if it kicked them up the arse.

Im the same with farming and plastering darragh , but we have to remember that its only early February yet . Hopefully in another few months we will be tipping away on nice long dry evenings and the wet winter will be forgotten

Wet and windy today. Some heavy downpours this morning with little hope of respite during the day.
