This is all very recent but right now(very recent form) I would say he's in the top 5, and I am most definitely not a United fan, he was quite possibly the best attacking player on the pitch last Sunday and was unquestionably the best player on the pitch the week before. This guy is absolutely the real deal and he currently has none of the confidence issues which are clearly plaguing Kagawa.
Not going to get into a form discussion because it changes by the day, but in terms of players I'd prefer to have in my squad. Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Ozil, Cazorla, Walcott, Toure, Silva, Nasri, Navas, Lallana, Eriksen, Coutinho.

That is just off the top of my head.

Kagawa was allowed into the centre for the second half against Swansea and Januzaj was put out left. United suddenly started playing fantastic attacking football.

So with that in mind, Moyes put Januzaj back in the centre for Chelsea, and played Ashley Young.....

    WHAT!?!?

Also, remember back in November (I think it was November), when United beat Bayern 5-0? Guess who played in the centre...

    Just to continue with this..

In my opinion United need to abandon the traditional winger system Moyes is currently playing. We have multiple players who play fantastic football in the centre behind goal, so why not play a system that plays to our strengths? Why keep insisting with wingers who can't cross or get past their man? I'm looking at you Valencia..

Imagine a United team set up like this..

    RVP
    ----Kagawa-Rooney-Januzaj----
    2 of Carrick / Fellaini / Fletcher
    --New LB-Vidic-Evans-Rafael--
    DDG

The attacking potential from that setup is immense.....

4 yrs at a Japanese club, a complete season over 2 yrs at Brussia and little or no impact at United hardly earth shattering stuff and just as likely was signed by United as part of a marketing roll out. Klopp is as good as the next man at talk up his own book...

Sounds like you never watched more than a highlights reel of him playing for Dortmund.

English football has a general fear of that type of player and accommodating them in a team. They rather play a guy that has the legs to run around the pitch doing alot of donkey work

I think Kagawa can do the donkey work if he is given a chance, Asians particularity are known for their engine and determination but Kagawa really hasn't been given many chances to excel in the league.

Starts one game then is taken off with 20 mins to go and doesn't play the next game, not easy to adapt in a different league with those kind of run outs.
His confidence has been drained since he joined United which doesn't help when he is given a chance, no doubt about that.

I think Kagawa would help United keep possession better therefore negating the need for alot of tracking back.

His confidence is shot because Ferguson and now Moyes dont have faith in him in his favoured & most effective position. By comparison, Klopp had complete & utter faith and reaped the rewards.

Anyone think Adebayor may have a point to prove against a city team who didn't play him or am I thinking stupid stuff here?

He will. But that doesn't necessarily mean he is capable of doing so.

I think the man has alot of motivation at the moment, Man City is extra fuel for that fire. A motivated Adebayor is quite a handful

Hmm. Have a back five of Chester, Terry, Coleman, Bardsley and Koscielny. Was tempted recently to downgrade one of the expensive guys to a Palace defender. If Coleman is injured for a few weeks that'd suit me perfectly.

I also would need to know if Ramsey is due back soon. Could just move for AJ now and have money to go to Ramsey next week if he is back in the squad.

Need to make a decision tonight as Aguero is going up again and I can't afford him afterwards unless I downgrade.

Just a reminder for those left in it.... The first leg of the round of 32 of the FSA champions league takes place this game week, if I'm not mistaken.

More importantly, where is the cup!!!!!

Suppose I may as well bite the bullet and get Aguero in bedamned. Might bring Gerrard in for one week only. Feel like he could do the business at Everton.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,268 ✭✭✭IsMiseMyself

With Gerrard and Aguero brought in for Ozil and Negredo, I'm .1m off downgraded Ashley to Azpi. Now that's just annoying.

Would it be insane to take a punt on Smalling and Man U keeping a cleanie against Cardiff? Granted, I rarely play a guessing game, so I'll probs just downgrade Ozil to Wilshere and leave it at that.

Getting drunk last night made me miss Lukaku's price fall, but at least it gives me a few days to think who to bring. Although I won't be bringing in Remy.

Think I might chance doing no transfer this week and bank it for next week when I'll possibly look at Ozil/Lukaku for Ramsey/Sturridge

Time to shift out Mannone for any owners:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2543330/Gus-Poyet-confirms-Sunderland-close-signing-Argentine-goalkeeper-Oscar-Ustari.html

Can see him rotating with Mannone quite a bit, although Oscar might be the keeper in the cup games. Still very risky though

You sir... yes, you at the back. Bravo.

That could be the pick of the year, I might go for it! YOu shall reap the rewards if it comes good, and I shall shower you with hate if when it does not.

If City play Demichelis, it will be goals galore. That lad would struggle to get a game at one of the sides scrapping relegation.

He was terrible on Saturday against Cardiff. He dives in far too quickly.

He's on the bench tonight so likely to be first choice at the weekend

My master-plan over the next few weeks

    Ozil >>> Ramsey

    Silva >>> Yaya

    Giroud >>> Rooney

Hopefully these guys injuries get sorted ASAP!

    Article says he's backup:

"Ustari will provide the back-up to Vito Mannone, a role which has been filled recently by youngster Jordan Pickford, as Keiren Westwood recovers from shoulder surgery".

Signing is only until the season end too.

He is an accomplished keeper. Potentially as good as Mannone. I think he is a rotation risk now, especially if he makes a mistake. If Oscar comes in at 4.0 he is going in my team.

he would have gotten the 2 BPs I presume had Chelsea kept its CS.
*Romelu Lukaku completed only 46% of his passes and missed the target with both of his shots against West Brom
Which is why he lost his BP...

Do you know if there's a website where the PL players stats are available (like saves, open play crosses, clearances, blocks and interceptions, recoveries, key passes, successful tackles, etc...) ?

The weekly 'Big Numbers' members article on FFS is brilliant for stats and stuff you would otherwise, shots inside the box, touches inside the box, inside the opponents half etc etc. Worth the subscription alone imo
