Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

He was making about $3,000 a month in TNA. With the amount of bookings he is taking along with the fact that ROH would be retarded to try and make him exclusive, he could afford to take less per booking and still make the same amount at the end of the month.

Hero got a three month deal, they could do the same with Styles. If he isn't worth it, don't extend it past the three months.

he was making 36k a year? no way that's right.

Probably should have done the maths in my head :pac:

It must have been a week, averaged out.

3k a week works out about 150k a year give or take so that seems about right.

When is Stings contract up and how much is he on a year?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,943 ✭✭✭Machismo Fan

When it comes down to it TNA are going to be able to offer more money than ROH. Once there was no real interest from WWE, AJ's likelihood of returning to TNA sooner or later skyrocketed.

When is Stings contract up and how much is he on a year?

Somewhere around February, I think. This year has been odd. He has been involved for nearly the whole year. Usually he misses half of it. If I was TNA, I'd try and get him to stick around until Slammiversary. That's nearly a year of sitting at home before Wrestlemania. He may not be up for a return to the ring after that long off. No point in handing WWE a ring ready Sting two months before Wrestlemania. They wouldnt do that for TNA.

Sting, along with Angle and Hardy, is easily one of the highest earners left.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 871 ✭✭✭gerTheGreat

Can they afford to keep him? Surely he only has a few short years left. With TNA releasing a lot of talent this year due to financial concerns surely it's only a matter of time before they have to look at one of those three.

AJ Styles's Anarchy Wrestling appearance which is essentially his home promotion NWA Wildside:

Fairly iffy mic work by AJ here.

From when they were NWA affiliated. There used to be an NWA Ireland too. The NWA tried their hardest to make their titles as respected and international as possible.

    Rock on twitter answering questions
Between Vince, Brock & myself our Wrestlemania 30 plan was ROCK vs BROCK. No plans now for 30 but possibly WM 31.

Saw this on the news sites earlier
The Ultimate Warrior has reportedly been going after people on eBay that are selling his merchandise. Warrior is asking for 30% of the total sale of each Warrior item sold or he's threatening legal action and to have the item removed from eBay.

    Warrior has responded :P
Recent stories about Warrior attempting to swindle 30% royalties from eBayers auctioning Ultimate Warrior items are ridiculously inaccurate. The actual royalty demand is 110%, 100% of money made from the sale plus a 10% service fee for handling the hassle of informing others of their no-nos.

Sorry, but ALL unlicensed goods and ALL counterfeit merchandise using the Ultimate Warrior Intellectual Property will be removed without warning from all auctions sites, websites or similar.

It’s MY gimmick. I OWN it. If you want one, do the work it takes to create one for yourself.

    Always Believe,

    Warrior

Haha fair ****s to him, as long as he isn't going after people selling the likes of action figures that they bought themselves.

WWE NXT talent Mickey Keegan, formerly known as Max Bauer, has been diagnosed with spinal stenosis and has been forced to retire from in-ring competition. Keegan is now working as a creative assistant for NXT.

Keegan was just signed to a WWE developmental deal back in August of 2012.

Jesus. Is it injury related? I see blunt trauma is a factor in causing it.
I checked it on the WHO there too - 96% of people suffer from pain while standing alone. Sounds like a horrible condition.

I have no idea, same thing that retired Edge IIRC.

6 people which is enough to fill an Elimination Chamber with.

That would be one of the best Chamber lineups they ever had and actually live up to the epic tag.

So sad we won't get the Smackdown one of Hornswoggle, Santino, The Great Khali, R-Truth, El Torito and Alberto Del Rio this year.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,690 ✭✭✭Mokuba

The Smackdown Chamber with Bryan, Santino, Cody and Wade was brilliant I thought. I'd have that before most of the ones with all the stars that have gone on in recent years.

And then the Smackdown one turns out to be 10x better cause thats what always happens even when it shouldn`t, it still does.

The main event promo by Brodus is better than you would expect but the pull apart with Tensai is hilarious:

That won't be the 6 tho as Lesnar is the default number one contender for the Elimination Chamber.

If they only have one title and rumble winner gets a mania shot, what will the chamber match be for though?

I know that. But like DM-ICE said, things are wide open in terms of what the Mania matches are and it is WWE!

Yep excellent point! I wonder how EC will work this year. If it's a EC for the title. It dilutes Lesnars title shot claim. And as you pointed out the rumble winner will be the no 1 contender for the title at WM.

Unfortunately WWE's current philosophy is less is more gimmick wise. Just look at the TLC PPV last month that just had one weapons oriented match. So I would presume we are getting one Chamber match this year. Which is a shame as having one Chamber at the start of the show and one at the end worked really well.

Less is more is better imo.

When every match is a stipulation match it REALLY waters down the gimmick imo.

Also known as the "Vince Russo Effect" :pac:

WWE passed on Richards and Edwards,

    Please Don't Benoit At Home?
--WWE has sent out a memo that Chris Benoit footage will be allowed on its new network broadcasts. There will be an advisory played before every show he appears on

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,469 ✭✭✭✭GTR63

Can they put him in DVDs now?
Hope so as I wanna see him on the eventual Kurt Angle one.
Any update on that American Wolves story

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,013 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

I think the advisory will have the opposite of the intended effect, highlighting Benoit as opposed to "Benoit happens to be in the show". Maybe it's more of a political move so they can say they had a disclaimer, and just phase it out after a year. As opposed to running the possibility of being called insensitive.

Would be a major waste. The Punk match sucked because the result was never in doubt. Bryan has even less chance due to his recent booking. They'd be mad to do anything other than Cena. He is by far and away the biggest danger and it's the biggest ever Wrestlemania. Not going to get a better chance than that.

Cannot agree with this anymore but I fear that the WWE will indeed go for the Bryan taker match. They might even include taker in the Wyatt feud!

Cena taker is the only option they have left for taker really. It's the only one where the result isn't so clean cut!

I can't speak for everyone but the reason I'm high on this idea is because I've passed the point of requiring some "legitimate" threat to the streak. It's never going to be beaten, so honestly I'd prefer to either see a great worked match (which Bryan/Taker would be) or someone getting a super rub from being in the match with him. Bryan for me fulfills two of those criteria, while Cena only fulfills one.

I also want it because I'm worried that without it Bryan ends up vs Sheamus or some other 7 minute midcard match.

Haven't read the full Observer but that was the case but these are still the most latest planned top Mania matches:
    Cena vs. Wyatt
    Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar
    HHH vs. C.M. Punk
    Randy Orton vs. Batista

THIS! I honestly never want the streak to be broken. I don't watch Takers match at WM to see if his opponent can beat the streak or not, I watch it because I want to see a great match! Bryan and Taker would give us a great match, so would prefer to see that then Brock vs Taker.

I dont want it broken either, but do you not think it adds to the match that it can be possibly broken? Like it wouldnt be crazy to think that Hunter or HBK could of broken the streak, while i agree the shouldnt it added to the matches that maybe either of those two could do it, therefore making the match better.
