Well done Ted. Hope you get on well. Is it for PECCS? Just wondering how long the training is if you know.

Its been about 2 months since I done the medical, they don't test your eyes again provided they have all the information on the opticians sheet. The medical is question after question about conditions you have or don't have etc. Flexibility, blood pressure etc etc

Hi all, do we get travel allowance whilst training as I have 120 mile round trip to millisle, if we do is it from home to millisle or from maghaberry to millisle? Thanks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 113 ✭✭craydon

Yea I was told we do get travel allowance. I've an 80 mile round trip, if I get in its the only thing I'm not looking forward to!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 106 ✭✭Ted777

I'm not sure if we do as I read my starter pack yesterday and I'm not sure I'm depending on it as I've 160 miles to do !!! aaarrrggghhhhhhhhh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 113 ✭✭craydon

Someone off this board who started with the job at the start of the year confirmed we do! Unless its changed by then though but I do remember reading it recently unless its different for PCO? But I do think its only for he training at millisle! I hope so as my car takes a fortune in fuel. Are you all set to go ted?

I meant just for the training, I wouldn't expect it for traveling to place of work, gonna be tough, going from weekly pay to monthly, but really worth it, looking forward to a rewarding career and working within a very respectable profession. For pco's has anyone recommendations for boots and where to purchase at a good price? Thanks
