when loading new image, how long should UL D be displayed, been waiting 15 minutes so far, is this normal?

I have the same problem phobia.. trying to install a Spark rescue image by usb method, really frustrating. It's probably because the usb key you are using is not recognised by the Alien. Kingston brand USB keys are recommended. I bought a 16GB one on ebay but it didn't work, along with about 6 others I have tried.

There is an ebay seller (who sells the Alien2) called free-digital based in Dublin and they sell USB keys that are compatible.

ok, finnaly got championc image installed, sweet i must say.

i used cc - oscam converter and replaced file! - maybe i should not have, not up and running any help would be appreciated via pm.

All good now, a restart of receiver and network and im in action

ive tried the said setup for spark but get a cant connect to server reader unavailable or no reader has me head melted why cant it be as simple as a dreambox why would i get this error thanks

Does it actually work? I seen a post in this thread the other day saying a release was available but it didn't fix the issue.

There's regular new releases from different teams, this one was released yesterday and works

This release works 100%. There will be a flood of new images now, I expect HDMU to be the next.

Just tried it out, it's not a great image, I'll wait for better. Cannot download plugins with the green button to get Oscam and it uses openwebif so may not get autotimers working as that needs webinterface. Too much like hard work this one. Gonna wait for better

The main fact is that the fix works and it's now judder free again, images will be released very quickly from the various development teams.

Figured how to simply get Oscam, press blue then downloads manager and the latest stable is available there

It doesn't look like it's a simple as transferring the new driver to any of the older images, we'll probably have to wait until Hyperion (or any other team) release an image with the fix themselves and then we can make preconfigured backups.

Hope someone can help me here, I flashed my box with championc's hyperion image. I was running hyperion from linux-sat website. With that image I could pause/rewind while watching tv, with championc's image this is not working?

Sometimes mine becomes unresponsive but a reboot of the box will fix it. Also have you tried new batteries? You could also do the camera phone trick to see if there is life in the remote by pressing buttons on the remote while pointing it into a phones camera

It's a plugin called permanent timeshift. Just be preared, it hammers the **** out of your hdd

If you have a smart phone, open abrowser on the phone using the IP address of the box. OpenWebif has a remote control tab.

I it installed alright, but it won't rewind when I hit the rewind button - it goes to the previous channel I was watching.

It works with his hyperion 2 image, but not the open ar-p image.

When I go to Information the image is Enigma 2 SVN-2290 based on GIT-5487, can someone confirm this is the hyperion image. I'm thinking now I may have mixed up both his images when I downloaded them

I don't see that in Hyperion 2. Another way to tell is have you got tsmedia and pkt bluepanel in the main menu?

Initially I thought it was the HDMU image that I installed the other day had crashed so I rebooted the box, then tried booting into Spark. Swapped the batteries with the tv remote - tv remote works with the Alien2's batteries.

Her ladyship is not impressed, I've told her to navigate the Spark TV Wall with the buttons on the front of the box in order to get the channel she's looking for - It's painful stuff as there are over 4000 channels on the box.

I'll contact Satworld tomorrow and see if there is anything they can do for me.

They are indeed - so I have hyperion 2.
