Haha, hold onto that €50! i'll probably use my wildcard after gw3, just hoping Dzeko gets a couple of starts and then probably make sweeping changes!

Soldado, Sturridge and Bony are 3 options... They could be in my starting team yet! And definitely think Kagawa will be worth a punt if Rooney goes.

As a United fan, i'm sick of Rooney at this stage.

I'm a United fan too and I'd agree the Rooney thing is a bit much at this stage, but I don't want to see him at Chelsea! Though, if he ends up there he'll be straight into my team, no room for emotion in FF!! If it wasn't for Swansea's tough start then Bony would be in my team from the get go.

Haha yeah I know, the rest of your team is looking really well though.

That still leaves a 3rd striker spot and while Lukaku is the obvious fit there's every chance he'll only face Hull before having to offload him the following week. I could go for either Sturridge or Aspas then. Despite Hooper and The Wolf shouting at me too.

I've also started tinkering in midfield and thinking a rotation between my 4th and 5th mids may work better than relying on Coutinho something like Redmond and Ramirez since he was mentioned earlier. Then I think Michu/Bony could do the business even with their opposition .

I've been going backwards rather than forward this evening thats for sure :pac:

What about Snodgrass in the middle? I think a lot of The Wolf's/Hooper's goals will come from his assists. 6.5 isn't massive money either.

Haha yeah I know, the rest of your team is looking really well though.

I've spent the last 30-40 minutes going around in circles with my own team and I'm getting more confused with every switch around

If Chelsea didn't have the dgw I'd only go for Hazard and then I'm playing with Silva/Giroud or Dzeko/Walcott and then I think why not go for Aguero if I don't have RVP

Then I move onto Soldado and I have no doubt he'll be a great player for us all but will he be ready to go from GW1? I'll have to see how he does at the weekend in their friendly.

Haha, think the best thing for your team is to stop looking at it for the night ; )Right now i'm happy enough with my team, but have a watchlist of about 25 players to go along with that and guaranteed it's gonna be changed again!

Personally i don't think i'd start with Aguero, will probably keep Dzeko for 2 or 3 weeks and after that will most likely keep away from City strikers unless one of them looks nailed on!

Would definitely have either Mata or Santi cazorla in my team, only for the fact that they're travelling half way around the world just before the season starts, so for the same reason i'd be slow to start with Silva.

Think, Soldado, Sturridge and Bony could be a fantastic line up but maybe not to start the season. Hard to know if Soldado will hit the ground running, if Sturridge will be fit enough. Think Swansea could have a really good season and i hope they do, but they have a really tough start to the season.

Ye both speak sense. We'll have to see what Spain's squad looks like. Either way it looks like that wildcard will be played early on again this year. Probably best to set up for the first 3 weeks and take it from there.

Yeah, reckon a lot of wildcards will be used up in gw3!

Probably would end up picking him as well, but with gritted teeth! And yeah will be surprised if Bony doesn't have a good season!

2 tough away games in Gw1 and then a blank in Gw3 . Perfectly acceptable that not many have him .

At the moment and bearing in mind that much can happen (Bale leaving/staying… Rooney signing for Chelsea…), I’m leaning towards a team (3-4-3) focused in the 3 initial GW’s:

    HART

    ZABALETA
IVANOVIC (will swap him for coleman after GW1)
    KOSCIELINY

    HAZARD
    WALCOTT
    MIRALLAS
    NOLAN

    SOLDADO
    DZEKO
    LUKAKU

    SUBS:
    4.0 GK
    CHESTER
    M.TURNER
    RAVEN MORRISON

I’m contemplating 3 CHELSEA players (double GW) + 3 MAN.CITY players but citizens play Newcastle (H), Cardiff (A), Hull (H)
Really wanted to include KAGAWA in my team…

    Thoughts?

Fellaini overpriced at 8.5? Surely he'll rack up the bonus points

    Collins,Mertesacker,Jose Enrique,Turner
    Hazard,Walcott,Fellaini,Bale

    Boruc ,Coleman,Bellamy,Gayle

    Have doubts abouts everyone really.

Looking for thoughts on my team, also can't decide on my 3rd striker. I've 8.5 to play with.

    Mignolet - Boruc
    Zabaleta - Baker - Ivanovic - Shaw - Collins
    Hazard - Navas - Paulinho - Sterling - Shelvey
    RVP - Anelka - ________________

    Thanks !

    Mignolet
    Azpilicutea Koscielny Coleman
    Navas Brady Bellemey Hazard
    Soldado RVP Bony

    Bourc Collins Dikgacoi Ward (CP)

    Hazard -> Walcott GW 2
    Azp -> Zabaletta GW 3

    Thoughts?

Hi All, anyone have any ideas how I can improve on the attached team?

Was thinking of bring R Morrison in instead of Dikgacoi, he scored twice again the other night! Not sure on my forwards either, trying to decide beween negredo, Soldado and Bony (with Bony freeing up 1.5 for elsewhere)

    All comments welcome

I think your subs are a bit weak. Go with Bony and improve your bench

Well Stockdale is a back up to Steklenbuurg at Fulham. Fellaini is terrible value as he is now most certainly a strict CM. Bale could be Madrid bound. Very weak front 3 really especially with question marks hanging over Sturridge's fitness

Im currently looking at this starting GW1 team - with 1 million in the bank to keep for GW2.

    23wkvnr.jpg

No Utd players as it stands - which is strange but none bar RVP stand out to me.

Is it a good thing or a bad thing that most teams that are considered strong feature: Mignolet, Mertesaker, Coleman, Turner, Coutinho, Hazard, Walcott, Mirallas, Lukaku, Dzeko, Soldado....Boruc, Random defender, 4.0 defender 4.5/5.0 midfielder

That seems like the default team of the FSA so far obviously a little variation here and there. I think I've certainly convinced myself something like this "looks" strong.

I'll be really interested to see what the lads who've kept away will produce next week having not been exposed to the same level of "biased" discussion

I'm off the opinion that it'll be little changes between teams that makes a big difference.

Mignolet will be first choice keeper,
since i think liverpool is rarely leaking goal during this pre-season.
with Foster as a back up, i think its a good rotation.

3 defender that will be playing each week will be
    Shawcross, Coleman, Mertesacker.
Didnt really know why i choose them really .

Hazard, of course for the DGW.
Michu, with bony upfront, and him playing in his fav role,
i think he will be lethal.
Nolan scores some random goal for west ham.
and Mirallas complete the 4 midfield.

Benteke, Lukaku will be my first week gamble.
Benteke has been scoring like crazy in this preseason,
i expect him to score at least 1 goal in GW1.
Lukaku the same, because of DGW.
and so does Anelka, been brilliant this preseason .

With 4mil in the bank, it should be enough to ship out anyone
    and upgrade after GW1.
But not enough to buy van persie, even after selling my most expensive player.

    Thoughts anyone ?

Boruc rotates(slightly) better than Foster and saves you 0.5m.

Since you're playing three at the back, keep Turner as back-up and downgrade Shaw to a 4million defender, saving you another 0.5.

Nothing wrong with midfield, maybe downgrade Brady to a 4.5 million mid, giving you savings of 1.5million.

I have a similar team with 4million in the bank to upgrade players after gw1.

Here's my post from a couple of days ago with my reasons for selecting certain players:

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=85854109&postcount=750

    *My team at the moment:

    9448643538_82e2afe181.jpg

*Still a work in progress, thinking of bringing in Aspas for Sturridge who may miss gw1 due to match fitness.
If Suarez goes to Arsenal I'll probably bring him in when his ban is up.

hahahah i think countinho is a big gamble though .
thats why i went with michu.
and thinking about replacing anelka to dzeko if he's comfirm on the first time on GW1.
pretty similar team actually for both of us.
    still work in progress. lol

    Question.

Remy is 50% chance of playing so should i risk him or go to the transfer market?
Van Wolfswinkel, Aspas, Dzeko are all in my price range.
