Im trying to create a 30 second highlight video on my One with photos that werent taken on the One. Moved them across but when I go into events to look at the video it says "unable to create video because there is a problem with the original media files"

The original media files are all .jpgs so I thought they would be ok. Anyone else done this or know a way around this problem?

I have seen a similar problem with moving videos from my old phone. I got on to to HTC and they told me go log a bug with them.

If you look for posts of mine on this thread you will see my issue.

bought a poetic case when the phone came out and it was fine, however started to peel the rubber from plastic, got pissed about to complain and they already sent me out a new one before I got the chance as it blocked the IR however I never had an issue with the IR, this new case better have a longer life than the first one they sent.

What is a reasonable timeframe for a bumper type case, had my iphone 4 bumper 2.5 years and no issues.

People I have long phone calls with are reporting a scratching noise coming down the mic. Anyone ever have this.

Hi, i was all set to upgrade my sensation to a HTC one when i noticed that the new One (with the speakers on the front) seems to have a 4mp camera only? Surely not?

The One X and S both have 8 mp cameras afaik

Is it really that low res on HTCs flagship phone?

If you're not interested in reading up about the camera, go get a lumina.

The HTC One uses Ultra Pixels, which are bigger pixels than regular. The pixels have a greater surface area, so can pick up more detail, but less can be fit onto a sensor of the same size. My previous phone was a HTC desire Z, with a 5MP camera, and the One is much sharper. 4MP with Ultra pixels is comparable to about 12 regular MP.

Cheers for clearing that up, might go ahead and order it so.

I've had about 4 HTC phones in the last few years and was wavering on the verge of going iPhone for the first time because my last sensation was so bad, but I might give them one more chance with the One.

Everyone happy enough with it? Hows the battery life and more importantly, is there the same problem with not recieving random texts as with other android phones?

I love mine. Battery life is pretty good. If I forget to charge it, I don't wake up with it dead like when I first got my Desire Z. Not had the text problem you speak of. I miss the menu button, but I'll have to get used to it as the are all down to 3 buttons now.

    Honestly, can't fault it.

EDIT: The TV app annoys me, but thats software not hardware. Im hoping a better TV app will be out soon. Sometime I select a programme thats on next, and it tells me a general summary for the shower, e.g. The Big Bang Theory follows the exploits of 2 scientists who share an apartment". I know thats why TBBT is in my favourites, I know what its generally about, I want to know what season/episode is on next and what channel.

I'm having a problem with my HTC One. I have the bookmark widget on one of the screens. when I go to select a book mask it will at random ask me to "select action using" Now you have a choice to pick chrom or standard browser, I choose the latter and then press the button that says "always". This works for a short while and then I will be given the option later when I select another bookmark to "select action using" again I press the always button, but it never makes this a default choice as it should! This can happen at random while selecting a link from an email too. It just never remembers my choice. I've carried out a reset on the phone but to no avail.
    Any ideas?

It can happen if you have added an app that does a similar job to it, or indeed deleted one too. If you have tried out a few browsers or deleted an old one for example it might ask you.

    I'm wondering that myself..

Same here. I have installed power toggles and a battery widget but I miss the notification menu and battery % from my Note 2.

We can be old phone friends and new phone friends, just upgraded from a Desire Z to a One today, it is the business :D

    Hi
I haven't address anything similar our deleted one either. I do have opera mini but I never use it. I've just uninstalled it to see what happens.
Worst case scenario I'll get upgraded to 4.2.2 and hopefully that will sort it out...

Contacted Meteor today about them pushing out the 4.2.2 upgrade to those of us who got the HTC One and the response was that they had no plans at present to releasing this update.... Thats very poor and may force me to root the phone.

Read something earlier that said three in the UK started rolling it out and it was promptly cancelled.

Three hadn't started to roll it out - they just tweeted that HTC had delayed the release.

Miss the hard keyboard yet? I'll admit there are a few things I do miss.

Have you a cover on the phone?

My Mrs has the HTC cover, and it blocks the microphone occasionally.

You can train the phone using the remote, had it working with the black cisco box however the new horizon box doesn't use IR I think so its no good since I got that box.

I tried that after the scan didn't work but it wouldn't recognise the button presses.
I'll have to give it another go later

Nope, phone out of the case completely. The noise comes in at fairly random times.
