I love the Nook so far, thanks OP. The only slight disappointment I have is that you can't use it to read in the dark, pity the backlight version is over twice the price.

Yep. Should be delivered for Monday.

Ordered this as a gift for someone. Absolutely delighted with mine. I've read dozens of books on my iPhone but went back to paperbacks but this is a dream. No neck creaks form awkwardly holding a book on the Luas either.

Ordered a leather case from eBay from Hong Kong for €9 too. Can't wait til it arrives. Mine already took a spill and popper open at the bottom. Pain finding a T5 torx screw driver to open it and slide it back in place but it's all good thank feck.

I used paypal when I ordered through Argos UK.

I got an email from Paypal and more importantly an email from Argos with a order number. No other emails after that from Argos.

Tracking for the order on the Argos website is minimal - after I got my email with the order number, my delivery date to PM in Belfast was set and that was all I could see tracking wise for the whole week.

Delivered within a week to Belfast and PM delivered to me soon afterwards.

I was slightly worried (especially with the troubles on other sites) that they might not fulfill, with the lack of emails and tracking information, but they did.

I ordered one from Argos UK on Saturday afternoon. Got order number/confirmation via email immediately. Delivery estimate to PM was today and sure enough it got checked in just before lunch.

Quick question about registering for argos uk. It will not let me continue and I think it's because it does not like my phone number?
How did people fill it out? Did you make up a UK number?

I checked my argos a/c. My contact and delivery address is set to the Parcel Motel address in Antrim.

I have 2 contact numbers - my fixed line and mobile - both have 00353 in front of them.

Grand thanks. It might have been the missing 00 but it did not accept that either. I then accidentally refreshed the page so when I typed it all in again it accepted it.

Ordered so hopefully I get it soon. It's hard since my kindle died. It's a necessity at lunch time!

Yeah the 353 worked for me, I had to put in the Parcel Motel postcode, for my billing address (wouldn't let me go further without a UK one even though the billing address country was set to Ireland) on Argos but it still accepted my info and completed the transaction.

I was convinced they wouldn't be getting any more of the Simple Touch Nooks so I bought the Nook Glowlight from John Lewis last Friday. It arrived in Belfast Parcel Motel this morning so should have it tomorrow. After all the hassle with Littlewoods it's nice to finally (nearly) have my Nook.

I have a spare one of these in a sealed and unopened box. Ordered two (one from Nook one from LW) when they were on offer just in case one gets cancelled. Both worked out. This one is from Littlewoods. If any of boardsies here are interested give me a shout and you can have it at cost price (€40). I am based in South Dublin/North Wicklow you can pick it up in person or you can paypal the cost + postage. PM if interested. First come first served.

I ordered off Argos on Tuesday and should receive next Wednesday. Littler pods taking orders with no stock is bad form, even cancelling some.

Littlewoods are a dose. I really hope I never have to deal with them again. If you can order it somewhere else, I'd do that and cancel your littlewoods order, if not all you can do is wait and hope I suppose.
