Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Gloria Jeans on St Patrick's Street had a sign in the window yesterday looking for (I think) part time and permanent people. I couldn’t see it too clearly though as I could only see it from behind and my backwards-reading-through-a-window could probably use a bit of work.
Gloria Jeans in Douglas Court also looking for full and part time staff, sign's been up for ages there.

What is it with Gloria Jeans and their never-ending quest for staff?!

The one in the Savoy on Patrick St. has had that sign up every time I walk past it for the past three years, at least.

No disrespect intended towards people who make coffees and other hot drinks (I do it myself) but are they waiting for some sort of 'perfect candidate' to fill the position? It's a ridiculously easy job. Or are the working conditions shit?

I'll go for the latter, but surely they can't be that bad to the point where staff are entering and leaving after a two week period.

maybe they just like collecting cv's and reading about other people ? only explanation i have. or maybe they only hire hot people and cant find any. i notice some cafes i go to only ever have really really good looking staff all the time.

Appreciate the concern about lack of hiring but can we keep posts just to actual available jobs rather than discussion please. Some people get notified of posts only to find that it's a discussion rather than a job.

    Ta :-)

tell me what they thought of them

While you might be employed by them you wouldnt actually be working WITH them unless you are in the recruitment game... esentially you would be given out to a company like abtran. Abtran will actually manage you but will pay La Creme who in turn pay you.

I picked the number up from St.Michaels credit union, but it said part time, when I rang to be honest he doesnt sound the friendlist i told him why and that i had two days free he said it was more on a daily basis part time..They should advertise properly but if anyone is interested I could get the number at home. IT was just doing laundry folding and bits like that

Hey, sorry I took so long to reply!

I'm looking for anything really, have experience in bar work, and retail, but also administration/research and reception. I'd obviously prefer an office job, but at the moment I'll take what I can!

    Thanks!

    Would anything here suit?
