Today I stuck some duct tape on the mirror to keep it in place. ****ty having to adjust it every 20 seconds. Ball joint is gone to **** and wont hold. I tried locktite but it didnt hold.

Try EPOXY RESIN Joe....might work for you. Animal stuff that bonds in 20secs after mixing. Dont get it on the hands I tell ya!!!

I have a dentist special super glue at home, once glued it will hold forever-anything from metal to plastic, even a stone. Only thing is that i am away for 3 weeks...;( if uwill need help after that i can meet u around dublin no problemo

Could give some thread lock a go?
Few drops in and the balljoint wiggled a bit to work it in. Can give it a couple of coats if its still loose.. though not a long term solution unfort

Serious debate which camera to mount on the bike....the new Go Pro 3:Black Edition or the New DriftHD.

Both have an awful lot going for them....both can shoot in 1080p at 60fps and both have remotes. Personally I prefer the look of the Drift....have seen the image quality of the GP3 @ 1440 and it is jaw dropping.

Both are expensive, the Drift retails for €225 delivered and the GP3 is over €440 delivered in Ireland. Is it worth nearly x2 the price?

Image taken on my HTC one...so a little bit of noise due to low light.

Try the GP3 at 4K, it is truly amazing :D The GP3 is well worth the money, I would buy a second if I had the money. I have the wifi remote mounts on both bikes so I can start and stop recording easily

All I can say right now is I thought about a bike of mine. It runs fine once started, but isn't great with batteries (it was untouched for a year due to medical/surgical issues, but the Magna. scooter and 2T batteries are either fine right now or only need a charge after a year. I'll have to rewire it, or more realistically get help doing it.

6 months after buying it I finally fit the Brembo RCS19 master cylinder. Left it on 19x20 (reduced travel with more solid initial bite). Why did I not put this on ages ago! Epic one finger brick wall brakes when added to the calipers. It makes up for the slightly rubbish looking Brembo lever that I had to replace my ASV with :pac:

I don't mean to be spamming the whole place with pics as have stuck a few up before so I'll try with one of two different ones!

It's the cross plane one yeah - got it when they came out in 09 as had to have it after having a shot shot of one.

So the Mille had the usual rear mudguard chop and a bad one at that. If you look where the forward screws are, that's where the old number plate was mounted- it was pointing down at the back wheel and the indicators were cable-tied to it. The number plate light was a mile away and it all looked hacked-up and generally schyte.

I made up my template and went off to a local engineering shop with it. I utilised existing holes only. The plate and indicators won't foul up on the tail pipe. A standard motorcycle number plate will fit without fouling the indicators. I cleaned up the hacks on the undertray. I cleaned up the wiring on the indicators. I re-routed the wiring so it's almost invisible. I cleared up the number plate light window thingie.

I'll have my brother powder coat it black next week.

Are you talking about rsv mille? If so i believe the stock tail is not as big, or at least mine wasnt, it was like a triandle light weight black metal thing. Actualy really pretty. Btw well done there. A pic of full bike would make me recover some great memories if u could tho...

No more guessing what gear I'm in!

Thursday I did something to my bike, a very silly thing :o

I did something that many have done before me and many will do after me, but I sure as hell won't do it again!

I put diesel into the Bandit instead of petrol :(

I was driving from Gort back to Galway and was running low on petrol. I was near empty when I pulled into the forecourt in Kilcolgan. Got off the bike and was chatting with the girlfriend as I put the nozzle into the tank. I noticed that the nozzle wouldn't go in all the way and commented to the missus but didn't think anymore about it. Put a tenner's worth in and drove off.

A couple of miles out the road the bike started acting wrong, I felt her coughing and farting and my first thought was that I'd gotten dirty petrol. Ha!! It was so dirty it had turned to diesel!!

I got as far as that pointless roundabout just outside Oranmore and the Bandit just died. I have to say I had an idea I'd put diesel in but it was difficult to tell the difference by smell. Luckily I have Bike Assist with my insurance so got the Bandit taken to my bike mechanic.

I got her back yesterday, new spark plugs in her as the old ones were fooked from the diesel. I apologised to her, then took her out for a quick blast and filled her tank with yummy unleaded petrol, mmmmmmmmmmm :)

It was an expensive mistake but one I won't make again.

A bolt that secures the gear lever on the Z750 was broken, so I turned the part in the threaded hole until I could pull off the lever, and took out the bit of a bolt. That bike starts so easily. Nothing louder on earth.

Blondie I've done that to a bike & a car!.. Diesel in the bike and petrol in the diesel car.

Bastard of a mistake to make.

Friend of mine and club members GT550. Engine was put of another GT he had which was stolen and recovered in a bad way.

Engine has essentially been rebuilt and he got it started the other night. Great. But it's only firing on two. On Sunday we took the carbs apart and cleaned them all. Still only two.

    Any ideas?
