Anyone elses Arma III keep crashing? I know it's an alpha but I'm just wondering. It keeps giving me a reason to do college work.

Yeah, just looking at the back of the box and I'm pretty much getting the advertised speeds (although the read speed is a bit slower than whats advertised but not by much - hence why they put "up to" I guess)

Still really happy with the performance and the write speeds don't matter that much - especially on a OS /frequently played games drive :)

Didn't you expect this when you agreed to help alpha test the game?

Just finished my first build. Nerve racking to the extreme. Tried an out of case build to begin with and for some strange reason I didn't get a feed so I just said feck it and put it all into the case anyway.

Just finished there. Everything is working great. Just have to go now and get another SATA cable for my hard drive. My motherboard only came with two. Wasn't too pleased with the Super Flower PSU. Cables were slightly too short for my liking. Both the 24 pin plug and the CPU power plug are literally stretched to the limit.

That reminds me. The computer wouldn't turn on the first time I pressed the power on button which really freaked me out. :o Checked the power button header plug and that was grand. Then I checked the 24 pin plug and it turned out that that had come slightly out of the socket. Put that back in and it was grand. No issues.

Here is a picture of it and the state of the place after finishing. Still to do some cable management at the back.

DAMMIT! I wait 1 week and the student software website decides to take down windows 7 and only sell 8!

I'll be picking that one up the second it goes on sale. I'd love to know exactly what the dual monitor support is like as well. Here's hoping they make good use of it.

Bought a video card off adverts for my 2nd machine via postage and when I tried it out just now, red lines and artifacts all over screen. Really pissed off right now!

    Man that is rotten

Did the seller have good feedback?

It was a 2nd 8800GTX to replace another dead one, so fairly small money involved, it's just the hassle and annoyance of it, and my 2nd machine back to being inoperable - Only bought it because the seller has great feedback!

Maybe wait to see if there is an amicable solution to the problem before naming and shaming.

Thought I'd throw this in here rather than going off-topic on the other thread but here's a graph for RAM prices over last year or so.

It's supposedly due to reduction in DRAM supply. Quick example is an 8GB kit of G-Skill 1333Mhz was 28 quid at one point IIRC and is now over 46 quid on HWVS.

Anyone recommend a good fully modular PSU, preferably around 160 mm in length. currently have an xfx 650 watt and would prefer something a bit tidier.

High end Seasonic or Corsair. The AX series corsair get good reviews, Seasonic make a fair few corsair PSU check out this article http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/psu-manufacturer-oem,2729.html
Dont skimp on your PSU you can use it for many builds, and having had several "Power Cool" 80+ certified ones blow, the cheaper ones are cack.

What'd a good gaming mouse be?

Preferably under 50 quid, wired, fairly big (I have big hands).

This is great for the money. I don't own one but the reviews everywhere seem to be positive and it's quite large. Going to get one myself. Go with amazon seller so the delivery is free. I couldn't link it directly.
