    Short answer is Yes. That is effectively what I did (apart from getting my bank to change/add billing address, they don't do it) and I've an email telling me the N4 has been shipped.

    So I ordered an 8gb on the 15th got the email which stated order time shipping within one week etc and that I would not be charged until it has shipped even tho 290 euro was taken out of my account as soon as I made the order.

    I emailed them yesterday to see what the status was and got the whole automated "due to ship by the 21st".

    Checked my bank account today and the 290 euro is back in my account and there is no sign of the charge at all.

    I'm assuming this can only be bad news / Has anyone else had this happen?

    lads, i ordered mine on the 12th feb and got the "thank you for your order email" and it was meant to ship within a week:(

    so far i have heard nothing and got no dispatch email. any advice? keep waiting and say nothing? pray to the android gods? pour great scorn and furious anger in an email to google commerce?

    either way still having the craic playing the nexus lotto.

    I did NOT change my address to the Belfast one, with AIB, although I did add it to my google wallet address list.

    Well I just ordered mine there anyways, using tunnelbear. I rang up AIB earlier today and added the parcel motel UK address to my billing addresses. There would be no sign anywhere there that the order is coming from Ireland except of course the card is Irish. We'll see how it goes anyways. I;'m hopeful enough as plenty people here seem to have been successful with Irish debit cards

    So did you have your Irish address on the google wallet card you used, or did you put down the parcel motel address with you card, without telling the bank?

    I put down/added the parcel motel address to google wallet, and did not tell my bank. My own fault but sure not to worry.

    Same situation here. I originally placed my order on the 5th Feb. Was charged immediately, then the money went back into my account a couple of days later. There was never anything on my statement - just €290 taken from the balance.

    Not sure what's going on really. :confused: The original estimate I got when I ordered was that it would ship sometime this week, so I'm still hopeful. Really frustrating that some people are getting their orders shipped within a day! :(

    Yeah i'm really just hoping it goes through soon, the email said to get onto them if it goes past the 21st so I guess i'll wait till then to be disappointed.

    Don't worry you two, it's not an actual charge, it's a temp hold on the funds that the bank put on your account and google have a certain time frame to accept the charge or the bank release it.
    Google only actually looks for the funds when they ship, so mostly the funds get released again, if they take a few days to receive your order.

    I ordered on the 7th Feb, had funds put on hold there and then. The hold was released on the 10th.
    Google shipped my order on the 14th, but my account wasn't charged until the 15th!

    Mines currently listed as out for delivery in Belfast. \0/
    I wonder if your history on the play store has any influence on if your order is scrutinized. Like if the more you've bought from the store, the more likely your order will go through.

    Got mine this morning from Parcel Motel :D
    Got the delivery message just before 6am, collected it on the way to work just after 8.
    Just setting it all up at the moment, letting my apps auto install from the play store.
    Nice piece of kit, I have to admit. :)

    Nice one Marc! Mine was ordered on the 12th and was meant to ship in a week. I caved in this morning and emailed them this morning. They promptly replied and said it's due to ship tomorrow. All is not lost.

    I order mine on Monday and just got confirmation that it's shipped. Happy days :D

    I had to create a new UK gmail account and used the Parcel Motel address for billing address for my BOI Mastercard. I didn't ring to add PM as a delivery address.
