Nexus 4 ordering process

Do parcel motel deliver on Saturdays? My nexus has been in Belfast since 13.05 today.

First order was shipped no problem. Ordered another one today and it was cancelled within hours. I guess it depends on the person handling the order.

Yea maybe mate, will keep ye updated on the progress. The arrival time for mine in Belfast was 12:50..

I'm mad for a few drinks but can't as the PM is a good drive from mine so need to try and stay off it till then

ive just received an email from them telling me they cannot refund me the difference, they will only send me another device or give me a total refund once I have sent the device back, which is something I cannot do as Im flying back to Argentina next week...

I talk to them by chat last nite and they told me they will contact me to confirm the refund and now they tell me this, so practically google robbed me £40...

I've just called'em to the UK number but they wouldnt give me a straight answer.

I got a "your order has shipped" email from Google at 9.02am today, and a "your parcel is ready for collection" email from PM at 7:55pm. Collected the phone about an hour ago, and it's a beauty.

This is the one I ordered on February 5, by the way, with a long-standing GMail account, using an Ulster Bank (Belfast) Visa debit card, and with the PM address for both shipping and billing (I got the bank to change the card's billing address to PM).

My earlier order, from January 31st, still hasn't got beyond the initial state of "Your order has been sent to Google Commerce Ltd". It will probably be cancelled at some stage, I suspect. That one used the same debit card with the same addresses. The only difference (apart from timing) was that it was done using a new GMail account with no purchase history.

By the way, I'm a Meteor bill-pay customer. Does anyone know if Meteor will swap my current SIM for a Micro-SIM on request? Do I just go into any Meteor store to do that? And do they charge anything for it?

You ordered yesterday and they end up shipping it today.

I ordered 8 days ago and I'm still waiting on them to ship it.

I did the exact same as you with billing and shipping address, AIB Visa and my normal Gmail account.

Just went from iPhone 4 to nexus4.
I unlocked bootloader and rooted. I am keeping stock ROM for the moment as its top notch.
No harm unlocking boot loader now just in case u want to do do something down the line;
I have titanium backup running and adaway to start with.

It's a safe bet to say I'm about to get cancelled again, tried to purchase something on the play store today and my payment was refused. The reason given my account is on hold, I was never told this though.
I can still access my wallet normally, there's no option to send in license/bank statement >:(

Ok guys I have just hopefully ordered the N4.
I used my original gmail account change my BOI Visa Debit card address to Parcel Motel account, and my delivery address to parcel motel one.
Then logged on to google uk play store using tunnel bear.
Order is currently pending and I received an email saying account would not be debited till order is shipped.

I will let ya know how I get on!

Can anyone who ordered using a BOI credit card of visa card tell me did they change the billing address? are you able to do that online at 365 or do ya have to go into the local to have it changed...had a look on the online site but cant seem to find a section which allows you to change billing address...

any advice appreciated

BoI credit card, I added the parcel motel address to my card. Just wandering down to collect my nexus now.

Its through out this thread. I copied the following out of somewhere here ages ago as a helping hand - so not taking someone elses credit:

1. go to the Parcel Motel website and open an a\c. all the details re charges are clearly explained there
2. set up google play a\c with your real address (same as your Credit Card billing address etc) I changed my PO box to be the UK parcel motel one.
3. Use tunnelbear or similar to login to google UK play store and order the device. Billing address is your home address (but with UK PO box) and delivery address is your full Parcel Motel UK address.

I added my Parcel motel details to my credit card - alternative address. Then added that card to google wallet with Parcel Motel details. Then onto 3.

Got my phone this morning, really happy with it.

I ordered on the 31st and had no contact so I emailed them last night and got this:

Orders are shipped based on the estimate in your order confirmation email. Once an order has been processed you'll receive a second ship confirmation email with your tracking number. It may take 24 hours for the package tracking to return any information for your tracking number.

If you have not received a package tracking number after the time quoted in your order confirmation email, please let us know.

According to our records, your order should ship by the evening of February 13.

I'm unsure whether to wait until the 13th and see what happens or to just cancel this one and try again. Decisions, decisions!

1. Accessing the Play Store
Since the Play Store isn't available in Ireland yet, you're going to need to order from the UK store. That's your first problem - They don't access Irish IP addresses. You have a few options here but the easiest one I found was to use Tunnel Bear. (http://www.tunnelbear.com/). Basically this allows you to act like you have a UK IP so you can access the store.

2. Gmail account
I used my own personal Gmail address that I've been using for years. In my account settings (https://wallet.google.com/manage/settings) I have my own personal address and phone number listed in there, and my real name.

3. Parcel Motel
Parcel Motel (http://www.parcelmotel.com) is the service I used to have the phone delivered to me. Register on their website and you get two free stays with them. Register with them and understand how it works using their delivery address.

4. Payment
You're going to want to add a new payment method to your Google Wallet. Click 'Add debit or Credit card' under payment methods. You need to register this as a UK card using the Parcel Motel Belfast address and post code.

On the final section of payment both my shipping and billing address were set to the Parcel Motel address.

Also note, I paid with a credit card.

5. Your bank
Not sure how important this step is but I rang my bank to ask them to add the Parcel Motel address to my list of allowed billing addresses. I've seen some peoples orders getting through without doing this - but I felt I was better safe than sorry.

Hey guys

I'm seriously considering biting the bullet here but there's only one thing putting me off, the storage space, or the lack of it rather!

To anyone who has the 16Gb model, could you check something for me? I've searched online for the answer for this but cannot find it. I understand the usable storage space is 12.92Gb, but does this include storage for apps?

Reason I'm wondering is my current Galaxy S2 has "System Storage" of 1.97Gb, which has app storage but I'm not sure if any apps I download myself from the Play store go into this.

Put simply, is anything the user puts onto the phone apps or otherwise eat away at that 12.92Gb? Or is there another section of 2Gb (or similar) that apps go into. It should be easy to find out if you go into settings -> storage
