Would you regret selling doubles though?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,798 ✭✭✭Jack burton

Thats the thing...I'm so weird that I think I will!

I just don't like selling things in general

Congrats on the Naomi sale by the way. Is it bothering you yet?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,798 ✭✭✭Jack burton

Well it wont be collected till friday, and I'm gone for the entire weekend then so I wont have a chance to notice the big hole in the room haha

Still not too sure with what to fill it with, the sale thread over on AO seems to be a bit dry for cabs at the minute

I'd love Mega Man if you did sell. Your cab Is on the way to my hometown but not to my home wish It was

Never really had an issue with the ps pads, prefer them to the xobx one for some games and vice versa

It's like comparing two turds. They might be good for 3D games (the 360 pad is exceptional in this regard) but the d-pads really let them down for 2D games. The PS pad has always been an abomination, I think near 20 years of Stockholm Syndrome has seen people accept it because everyone hated it and the dualshock when they first came out.

His Game Grumps with Egoraptor are alright but nowhere near as fun / weird as his regular stuff.

His take on the Sonic universe is brilliant.

The Last Boy Scout is NOT crap! one of the best action comedies ever, some amazing one liners in that.

Predator is being shown tonight in The Sugar Club. Anyone been to a film there before? Do they have a decent sized screen?

I've never seen Predator in the cinema so would love to pop along. Not bothered if it's just a glorified television they have though.

They usually show it on their projector, I've been there a few times for their Rocky Horror Picture Show.. erh... shows.

It's not huge but it does the job.

It's grand. Went to their themed Casablanca night there a year or so ago, and it was perfectly serviceable, worth if for the appropriately retro layout of the club. Saw The Room too, but that's not a film where you care about picture quality :D

It will just be a DVD or Blu-Ray if you care about such things. Certainly wouldn't go expecting a completely immersive big screen experience. It is just a bar / venue with a projector and a decent sized screen at the end of the day.

Pretty sure it's sold out by the way.

Saw Gremlins there last month and it was good fun.

    He uploaded it last night.
Some GG stuff is okay but there's some amazing ones like Sonic 06, Donkey Kong on Nintendoland, Nick Guts, DKC and Goof Troop are just so funny.
JT on his own is hilarious but I dunno if he did so much uploading on his own anyway, so at least with GG it's like almost daily

    EDIT:
    They've a JT tee now

Not sure I like that at all, tbh.
Two guys pretending to have an intellectual disability?
Were they supposed to really have an ID?
    Then one pulls a gun?
I must be too old for this "humour"

I just joined parcel motel as i was getting some bits and bobs delivered and the delivery was "Engerland only". Very handy service, and a good price for it!

Does anyone know what the story is with Non-EU deliveries that might incur import duty? If for example i'm getting something sent from the states and it goes to their UK address, does it mean that it will get charged UK import VAT, and how does that affect my parcel? Is it held up in their depot up in "Narn Iron" somewhere till i phone up with a credit card and pay UK duty?

Am i any less likely to be nabbed for import VAT by shipping to a UK depot address than i am an Irish one? Anyone got any tips/experience?

Apparently if there's tax or vat owed they wont pay it and just return it to sender :(

Ah, i see. So it really should be called "European parcel motel" then, shouldn't it...?

Probably wouldn't have the same ring to it though...

Is there any use for Parcel Motel outside of UK sites? From what I gather, you use the Parcel Motel UK postal address up north so you can use UK postage price and save money.

The international Parcel Motel address is based in Ireland, so the postal price would be the same as if you were just getting it shipped to your house.

    Or am I missing something?

The only real advantage would be if you were getting it shipped to Parcel Motel if you weren't available to accept a package yourself I suppose.
