Getting into the bottom 2 probably won James the show!

I wonder how much Tulisa had to do with that...

I'm shocked at her stats, tbh! I had her as being in the final from seeing her audition! Was she not liked or what - or just considered 'safe'?

The Xtra-Factor tonight was 10 times more entertaining than the main show!

Probably the latter. Like James. Had Ella survived instead I think she'd have won!

But she was still ahead of James every week until she went out.

if she had stayed in she might have got a similar boost.

Her song choices were pretty safe, and she never really stood out compared to the other performances. It felt like everyone (voters, judges, and even her) just presumed she would make the final easily. So Tulisa really put no effort into her.

If he will have control over his own album and not let Syco ruin it he will do very well

Take another look at weeks 4, 6 & 7 (although the latter was the week both were in the bottom two).

A vote I found interesting was Rylan coming below Union J the week he was eliminated. Would have been really interesting if he was second from bottom. I wonder would it have gone to deadlock?

What was the story with Lucy not preforming the group song btw? I noticed a reference to her non-appearance a few pages back but no specifics.

    Also, no MK1 either?

Was a proper saturday night in. And had far less controversial results iirc. Was no coincidence.

Hate how it's dragged out so long for a results show which could be done in ten minutes

I half expected it to be James to win after last night but I couldn't tell either him or Jahmene could have won it!? They both winners really!

Fair enough, although they were still in the same mid-table section most weeks.

Spraggan was on a downward spiral in the voting. Thankfully people didn't buy into her stuff

... AND... a Saturday night out! I remember our work Xmas Party seemed to be always on the night of The X Factor Final - band never kicked off til the result was announced! :D Was a WAY better show back then! :)

Every act got the rebound vote (even Kye ). Really seemed to have helped District 3 last a few more weeks in the competition when they ended up in the bottom 2.
