The Star was right about Chris topping votes!

    Chris topping all the votes

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,450 ✭✭✭Heroditas

Is Caroline Flack moving on to James Arthur now?!

Anyway, that final was about as drawn out as a wisdom tooth extraction.
I though last year was bad but they trumped it this year.
It's really gone downhill in the last few years.
Kinda peaked in 2009/210 and hasn't been the same since.
It just goes t show that Vognor was the real winner. He broke X Factor with his godliness.

Chris topped first 7 weeks in a row

It was only stopped by a James rebound vote!

If Chris topped the votes for so long, I wonder what the heck happened last night??!

They all look so happy that Chris topped the votes

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,873 ✭✭✭Skid

So Christopher was leading the early votes (as was leaked), and Jahmene was second. Then James went top after his bottom two appearance.

Can't wait to see the full breakdown

The media campaign against him up'ed another serious level in the last few weeks.

(With a little help from someone?)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,656 ✭✭✭cgpg5

First 7 weeks Chris was top, Jahmene second

Then week 8 James topped it with rebound, Chris second

In semi (week 9) James topped, Jahmene second

    James won tonight by 54-46

The Star was dead right anyway, fair play

I wonder where all of James' votes came from, was not in the running till he ended up in the bottom two.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,342 ✭✭✭✭starlit

Not surprised Chris not on tonight he only create a fuss.

That is shocking how the voting results went the first few weeks and to think he was taken out of the competition and then a wildcard he shouldn't been back on at all. The turn about was when James topped the votes, it was the songs he sang just amazing when it came that weekend Rylan left. At least Rylan is sincere, Chris just isn't. He shown his true colours now like now that he not invited back on x-factor.

James got 54% of the vote last night! wow! :) Good on him!

    Cowell? :D

I say those that are a fan of James but don't usually vote probably voted the past two nights for him! Stronger support for James and Jahmene in the last while. It was noticeable in the clips last night before their performance. James went out and not try to win votes, he just performed to the best of his ability didn't faze him!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,656 ✭✭✭cgpg5

Oh my word. Chris survived the semi v Union J by .6 of a per cent!!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,374 ✭✭✭twirlagig

Glad James won - He's great! Out of interest, how much of his own choosing goes into what he does next? Song wise, etc? I know Ella went weeks ago, but it's only her and James that I'd actually like to hear more from.. :)

Jesus, those Christopher voting stats!

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 34,567 ✭✭✭✭Biggins

You have to remember that all those that were voting for Ella also might have shifted their support then between tonights top two (when she went).

Probably, I say a lot of those that supported the other acts would supported Jahmene/James over Chris. So might have been a shift of support and the acts themselves supported James and Jahmene more so than Chris. Even Gary didn't really support Chris after taken out of the competition and then supported him as a wildcard why a change of heart I don't think Gary was genuine in his support for Chris. I think he was just playing nice so that Chris would leave the competition at some point.

I'm staggered that James came from so far behind to win

    Strange results alright.

I think its a simple case of voting transfer. Chris had a strong following but was never going to get transfers from people who voted for the other artists

His voters really seemed to desert him in the end.

Wow rylan made huge gains in week 2

Jaysus, Ella was never a serious contender at all. Rylan was more of a serious contender than her.

An excellent comment from a friend of mine:

Can I safely assume the x factor is finished now - years without watching a second of it - Cowell is to music what Tesco are to community

God. I wish people would just get off their fcuking high horse about X Factor.

We all know what it's about.

I've a very diverse taste in music and wouldn't listen to anything X Factor related myself, but this show is pure entertainment.

Your mate sounds like someone who reckons Cold Play are the best band in the world!

There's a market for it, just like Tesco. You don't have to shop there.
