I'm nearly finished my Xmas shopping, just my nephews and a few more bits for my brother to pick up. I find when you work in retail its better to do it early while you've still got goodwill towards your fellow man left.

    Frigging impossible isn't it?

Was thinking iPad mini, but I'm not that rich. Anway, he can get those things through work no problem.

How about something completely different then? Like an experience type of thing. Two of you go off for one of those falconry trips, and bring a picnic. Or a helicopter ride with champagne I saw on deals :p
Or a sailing trip where breakfast and lunch with bubbly are included like this (I don't necessarily mean buy the deal just as an idea?)

I might have a look at some experiences.

The last time I had to do one, I got somebody on a different shift in an office (I was in a lab) doing a separate job.

Ugh, you end up getting them something neutral like a bottle of wine or box of chocolates, which they'll just pass on to someone else in another secret santa.

I have NO IDEA what to get himself. Absolutely no idea.

My boyfriend is impossible to buy for, wants nothing, has everything. So I ordered him a load of funny tshirts/hoodies from tshirthell.com, done! He's buying me pretty shoes and a dress, because he works every day in December so this year I've given him the easy option, he'd have himself killed trying to get me presents whilst working every single day. We're gonna go for "Our Christmas" for dinner then some night and dress up all snazzy, what he doesn't know though is I'm going to book a fancy restaurant half an hour away instead of the local one we usually go to, yay :)

    Oh yeah it's true.

My sister told me some other humdingers from her work place but I can't remember them from the top of my head. Not quite as bitchy as the slim fast but yeah.

My OH just tells me what he wants. Way easier, cos he is so difficult to buy for without hints. (And nerdy stuff is surprisingly expensive. One year he asked for the complete flora of France, 150 euro!)

When people ask me what I want, I just tell them a small voucher for Eason's or an all4one voucher. It suits everyone really!

See, my fella won't eat fancy food, so restaurants are a nightmare, and there's getting a babysitter. And as for clothes...sweet baby jesus...''I don't like the shape of those buttons...'' and the like.
He doesn't drink, doesn't smoke and doesn't want to go to a football match.

The OH wants money to spend on his comp. Just so he can spend even more time with it and not me (he actually has chosen his comp over me a good few times). I am all like HELL NO.

Stupid ****ing cramps. JUST KILL ME NOW

I say Penneys or All4One vouchers, and never more than €20. My aunt forgot to get me a present last Christmas, I don't care or mind at all, myself and mum were just hoping she wouldn't realise weeks later because she'd be devastated, she always gets presents for all the kids, but I was overlooked somehow :o

Anyone I ever get in a work Kris Kindle gets a Newbridge silverware tree decoration, and has done for donkey's years. I don't like anyone I work with enough to be bothered trying to be funny/creative...

Annnnnd, my Mr. won't wear a watch, or any jewellery either. His face when we were trying on wedding rings was a picture :D

Was it with money he was meant to spend on something to do together?

Same, doesn't wear any type of jewellery, he'll tolerate the wedding ring for a few hours on the actual day and that'll be it :)

In fairness no it wasn't, it was his "reward" to himself for his first year in a demanding job.

Well that is okay so! My OH is a different story all together so.

If I were to get married I would want them to wear the ring all the time. Let everyone know that he is taken :)

Most of my male friends report that they get hit on more if they're wearing their wedding ring.

You may want to rethink your position!

My husband wears his all the time, and I love that he does, but if he didn't want to that'd be his choice.

I just need some time to knit a few more things and I have Christmas pretty much sorted! Got something for my boyfriend, he's too stalky for me to say what though :pac::pac:

Don't have any idea what to get my brothers, who haven't spoken to me all year ¬_¬

Only one kind of woman goes after a man that she knows is married. I am in the type of business that it is the first thing I notice about a man. When I am single it is "no ring then fair game" and I know a lot of people like that. So I would like people to know that he was off the market.

PP get them nothing?! They cannot be arsed to pick up the phone then why buy a present for them?

I'm confused, what if he is in a long term relationship but not married?

Nah I'll get them something small, just no idea what yet! we'll be spending Christmas together anyway!

I'm also trying to sort out xmas presents. I only have about 4 to buy because I'm doing secret santa with friends and have a small family but it's still impossible.

I don't get my brother anything, he doesn't get me anything. We've a mutual understanding  I haven't seen him in 6 years but we still manage to be pretty close. I'm delighted I don't have to get him a gift. He's another Mr Impossible.

On the wedding ring thing, I really hope my bf wears his:) He plans to, but if it's too uncomfortable for him, I don't mind him not wearing it:)
