    It does seem unbelievable that they have invited Galway Consultants to take part in the review, surely there are plenty of other consultants in the country.

    Gilmore giving his wife a makey-up job just goes to show that there's absolutely no difference between Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and Labour. In fact, Fine Gael and Labour would probably be just as corrupt as Fianna Fáil if they'd been in power for as long as Fianna Fáil were.

    Major conflict of interest - has to be - they are colleagues and all know each other.............common sense has to prevail...........

    But we've seen it all before. And in the past, FF was never out of power for more than 4 years, regardless of the scandals. Ok, its going to take a bit longer this time, but voters have short memories

    Very few in most parties willing to risk votes by declaring either way (except some Labour and Socialist Party who are pro choice).

    It is so emotive
    Logically there are cases where terminations are a logical and sensible choice
    But some people cannot countenance termination in any form because it is hard to see this issue in any shade of grey. It is a black and white matter but sensibly we ha be to be able to view each case in its own merit's
    In order to protect women and doctors I hope this issue is resolved practically and properly with minimum of political posturing

    The days of religious people projecting their morals on other people in this country are over, if you don't want abortion even if it leads to your death that's your choice but no.more imposing those views on everyone else

    Of course. I think we're a long way off a pro-choice Ireland. Women will still have to go to London no matter what happens in the next few weeks if they choose to have an abortion.
